I can wait tbh. 75% of the frags in the trailer looked kind of everyday and casual to me. I also did not understand why the usage of the "distortion" in the beginning was used, I felt it was more annoying than cool tbh :).
I hope the full movie is good though!

tbh i don't care if the frags are not super awesome (which i really doubt). Q3 CPMA fragmovies made by the cpma-community are the only fragmovies worth watching and i'd gave it an instant 10 right now if tom made a newspost about it lacking the actual movie.

because thats why trailers suck, you see all the exciting stuff and none of its saved for the main production. this is a teaser not a trailer, there is a distinct difference; a teaser teases, you want to see what/how/why etc. we all have our own tastes of course.

not really, but name one fragmovie-trailer you remember loving :p and don't mention the legendary "Frags Done Extreme 3" QW movie trailer with the matrix thingie effects.. cuz EVERYONE loved that trailer, and it had the most pointless matrix-code effects i've seen in a fragmovie :> but it served its purpose.. to get people who cared excited, and so did this trailer.. but twice as good looking, both graphic wise and artistic wise..

I dont remember a whole lot of fragmovie trailers at all, because usually people dont release them. Having a trailer for a movie thats 10-15 (or however long tom's is going to be) just seems a bit much to me :). I hope the movie rocks, in which case I will rate it highly like anyone else, but I just did not see the point of this perticular trailer.

Made purely because i needed a short break (4 hours) from the main project and it was pretty fun.

sure i thought it might help people get excited but it was also great fun because i didnt have to go through the horrible tedious capturing process. i could just play in vegas editing, which is what i enjoy most, and hopefully make something aesthetically pleasing. you think what you think but thats the truth :)

Not hard to make any shaft frag "good" without ingame sound. A player coming towards you with 5 health and you miss 99% of your next 200 ammo used to kill him would still look good in a movie without any ingame sound :)

But I guess we will never agree so why bother. I just think movies loose alot of intensity without ingame sound

if it makes you feel better, i agree! :( unless it's shaolin productions which is generally pure eye candy, you need the 'in-game' feeling that the q3 sound effects provide to get a better feel. for me at leasT!

normally i'd agree but the shot is not only quite well compositioned, but throughout the teaser the camera hasnt been stationary at all. leaving it frozen at the end helped emphisize that this is indeed "the end" and that there is no more to follow till the final production.

is that an indepth enough answer?
