8800gts 320

install the latest nvidia drivers, chipset drivers, dunno what else there is
try disabling multithreading in the nvidia control panel

install that windows dual core patch:

i am running Windows Vista so no patch should be needed.

as i've said, in OSP there are NO FPS DROPS. butin CPMA i have this problem. so what needs to be fixed is CPMA and i think it must not be a huge problem...

i had exactly the same problem, osp was fine and only cpma was jerky/unsmooth, but really sorry, i dont know how i fixed it :/

it was the problem, but it didnt disappear because of the configs, i had tried that before. :)

well thats kinda hard considering i tried for 2 days, and it was probably after the first day already gone, i just didnt realise it cause i tested it wrong. ;)

besides i dont remember all that stuff anymore, what i downloaded/installed and so on ;/

Maybe it is a config issue, but it's something that CPMA defaults to which OSP doesn't. Weird problem, try posting up your config here so he can try it and see if the problem goes away for him.

Could've been something that got changed without you realising, it's worth a try at least.

my config is in my profile, and its definitely not a config problem if you ask me.

Yeah that sucks, I have exactly the same problem: in OSP Q3 is smooth as baby's ass, but in CPMA it drops the fps really hard :(

I had Radeon 9550 and it was fine, then I bought better nvidia card and I got drops - again only in CPMA.

nope, xp. I now tried with 3 different drivers, did all the usual stuff like deleting all configs etc and nothing made any significant difference.. next thing I can think of is to try an older version of cpma, gonna try to find one sometime today.

So, still today is not possible to play CPMA with multi core processors? What the hell is going on? Arqon? (pd: I don't want to use ChallengeQ3.exe because of the known PB problem, also my mouse feels different from original q3.exe).

q6600 and cpma is smooth for me...

Im running a dual core processor and 8600gts gfx, and cpma works like a charm , cnq3 helped me get it alot smoother, and also you are idiots if you havent tried compatability mode

Firefox+Q3 lags the shit out of my PC. Maybe turn off firefox? :o

opera 8 does that also :o
