He, like most of us, started playing games long ago.. but nothing on a professional level until DOOM 2. Also on another note, concerning that "Michael Jordon" phrase... I've since found articles where they have used that moniker, but most like this one are dated 2000 and later. Again, while he played I never heard any interviewers use that for Thresh between '97 and '99 - however I know that was used for Fatal1ty during his Babbages CPL and Razer CPL (both in 2000 as well).

It seems like that was the term to use for any pro-gamer in 2000. =)

I have the Guinnes book of World records from 1999 and he's mentioned there as the Q2 champ and he won a Ferrari, money and a top gaming rig (at that time). The 99 edition had 2 pages covering gaming, they're releasing a full Book just for games in 08 ;)

I only knew thresh as a player in q2, but I think Immortal was better than him at his time, (I know he was also a legend in QW and Doom2, but I am not able to judge him there).
I liked his play in Q2 nevertheless, his high sens with rail amazed me ... but I didn't really know he was a business man ...
until now ... I knew he was involved in gamers.com and xfire and also wrote columns for gaming magazines and was also involved in firingsquad ... but his website gamers.com and the messengertool xfire just looked average to me ... this really came as a big surprise to me that people invested many million $ in gamers.com ... and a very very big surprise is that he sold the xfire messenger for 102 Million $!! I mean xfire is no icq, I'm really curious how MTV thinks to get back this money ... seems thresh knows how to sell stuff bethanks to his charismatic nature ... btw, somewhere in the net I found a text from him searching new programmers for a videogame related product ... I am interested with what he will come up with ..

I always wondered how he could hit anything with that sensitivity he had. I guess it was normal to have a high sens back then, but even with that high sens he had (higher than normal afaik), he still had a good aim for the time
