Bill Gates is a fuckin' prick! He stole all the inventions, dunno if he even know to make an asm program! I don't give a shit on his money! he's still a prick!
watch Pirates From Sillicon Valley the movie for detailed info about how he came into business
unfortunately there is not too much support for games in Linux, but I have some linux versions on my PC already, so that's not the point
the point is people should stop admiring a fucker which was working in the past for Steve Jobs just to steal his CODE
it's not that Operating Systems are better or not because Bill Gates (and are not), but I like how one thief get banned for boxing for life because he was stealing some shit from some shopping center (for example), and the biggest thief in history got the richest man on Earth and the most popular, too, having many people to defend him, like you do
imo in this world there are 3 thief classes:
-thiefs level 1, they have some kind of antisocial behaviour by stealing from other people some minor things like candys lol, some bottles of beer or other shit: these are enemy number one for the police
-level 2 thiefs, more organised, with connection in police and some political power, like mafia, these are SOMETIMES enemies of the law
-level 3 thiefs, which use legal procedures, their strong political influences and use their high position to robber entire nations, there is no police or law for them because they make the law
Bill Gates is somewhere between level 2 and 3, let's not kiss his ass for that, ok ?
Maybe Gates was not a good developer,
but he let good developers and thinkers work for him :-).
What about stealing? He didn't steal anything ...
if there is a good feature you should try to include it ...
linux community and apple try to copy windows too ...
if they build a function into their program with their own code,
it is not stealing for me ...
Anyway, I think the days of microsoft will soon come to an end ...
I think the open source software has become quite strong ...
Firefox, Openoffice, Eclipse, Gimp are really good programs ...
(all this developed not because of a free community and the goodness of man, but because many software company invest a lot of money into opensource) ... the usability of the linux os(or its distributions) is also improving quite much ... although the os, is not yet good enough in terms of usability ...
but linux is really not anymore a gadget for technophiles,
who want to be distinct from the mass of comp users,
it has become a quite strong os, with many good applications,
The whole computer market is stagnating to me,
and linux can only get more and more close to windows ...
in the last 7 years not really much happenend ...
the revolutionary times are over ... computer science has become a normal business .... what can you do now with your computer what you could not do 8 years ago? The only thing that improved is bandwith ... now you can stream videos on the internet ... but the rest ... I don't know, I don't think there will be coming so much from now on ...

way2compare a bunch of programs with the main attraction MS offers: solid operating systems, unmatched at their time of release (bar some accidents).
yes, open source programs adapt faster to the user's needs.
but the same quality isn't there for operating systems.
