shouldnt be ultra high with anti aliasing with this card, 256mb and 64 bit. that card is to watch movies and stuff.

64bits? lol its 128 bits and it doesnt specify memory, maybe it have 512. Its not the bad card youre thinking. Obviously its not for enjoying crysis maxed, but should provide plenty power for quake4.

There wasnt anything funny about it. You're exaggerating the comical nature of that post--it wasnt wrong information---kind of overbloating it a bit. It definitely didn't deserve the commentary about drinking--especially when the information stated was correct information. Trying too hard to give yourself points---I didnt need to edit it--over common courtesy my misreading what I thought was you laughing--and you still trying to bloat your ego over it. It would have been a different story if what I wrote was wrong lol.

So what did he say?

I clarified the differnce between the bit and the byte and 64bit and 32bit. I didn't realize until reading it the second time that is the essence of what he had wrote because my mind was focused on the laugh, which led me to think what I thought so i wrote the information about the bit interface on the video card. I edited it out after reading it again and realized some of what I had said mirrored what he had. Again, the information that was different was not incorrect information anyways.

There was no insults in the post so I am still scratching my head on his replies. I edited it out still had to hear it. Naturally, it may be equally flammatory for me to reply to it--but you can't expect to insult someone and have them say nothing.

Still scratching my head about pill taking and correct information---the information i wrote was correct information. I'm aware that what you were referring to was ultra quality with antialiasing will not work with a card that doesn't have the interface bandwidth in the 256+ range. But most people here think you're speaking greek.

Xerp is best thing since boobs, quake4 is poop (all games that aren't quake3 are poop for that matter), UT3 sucks, toxic is a noob, cooller is god, ad nauseum, and you'll get plenty of [+] action.

lol. Ut3's bots do good at ctf actually and I like their maps. A good ut3 mod would be quake movement because yeah nothing beats quake on its movement. Funny point---actually to be popular it may be easier to get positives if you are negative rather than positive its sometimes true. Its good though I see a lot of new people--they gernally first land on my server and then find freezetag lol. But a couple this week made comments (without being asked) that q4 is harder than q3. This is of course before the contamination of the buzz lol. But I have heard a lot of q3ers scream about q3 being more skill and yeah I dont necassarily agree and I like toxic's interview with him saying that q4 is more reliant on map control due to its skill requirements. Its actually interesting---the buzz about the controversy can contaminate a survey so its a good outlet to see some paralels to how you can conduct empircal research wthin this game!! Its pretty fregen cool that quake encompasses so much. Even the politics between clans too, its great stuff. You can see parallels to all kinds.

B usines too, Q4max is a good mod---have nothing against it it is good---but the effects of branding can be seen. Like in business if you have the reputation for being the "convention" you will own the market--like INtel does. So yeah q4max has the same market or playerbase since it is or was used in pro competitions--it gives the pro image.

Its also a great analogy to behavior and when it comes to a server. Like of course as in any game, Quake 4 has its antagonists who will sit in a server and just cause trouble. When organizations can get a bit unethical is when they see the behavior or an individual interfere with a goal. Never in my wildest dreams have I thought such diverse social and psychological content could come from a 10 dollar video game!! Its awesome stuff :)


And one thing I have noticed---many people who play quake and return to quake after being away for a while--often have lost their jobs. So, like drugs, quake is used in the same sense, people use quake as a therapeutic tool for anger and whatnot--then when they find a job or a girlfriend they disappear again :P

Make sure you use the anti-aliasing in quake 4 rather than anti-aliasing in your graphics card control panel. If not for stability benefits (if there are any) but also because it looks better and applies it to more things such as grating etc. Its in advanced system settings or you can use r_multisamples X
