ok so since there have been a few journal entries about dreaming here on esr i thought i'd throw a story in as well.
ever since i was a kid i had the same dream when i was sick. i'm walking through the city when all of a sudden a huge avalanche hits me (not made out of snow, more like a huge pingpong ball, bigger than houses etc). i try to stop it with all my weight/power, keep struggling for a few seconds but eventually the avalanche/ball wins and i wake up all sweaty knowing right away it was just a dream.
but this time it was different. i'm kind of sick again (just a cold) and was already expecting to eventually have the avalanche-dream. i think i've had a lucid dream before, more than once actually.
so tonight i went to bed early but could't sleep until around 5am. i woke up a few minutes later after I had what seemed to be the worst nightmare ever, and it was not ye ole avalanche. i don' even want to talk about what actually happened... but it felt so real, i knew the people, i knew the place where it took place, and everything looked just like in reallife. somewhere i read to watch out for clocks etc in a lucid dream. well there were no clocks this time.
anyway, i woke up and was like wtf was that, that's fucked up and i knew it was just a dream, a really bad one. i wished i had the avalanche back lol.
ok i said fuck that, back to sleep. bad idea i guess. it was basically the second part of the lucid nightmare (or whatever it was). it started right where the first one stopped, same story (which got even worse), same people, same shit.
a few minutes later i once again woke up, this time my nose was bleeding and i had tears all over my face (cuz in the dream i was crying, no emo jokes pls lol). i was all sweaty and was hardly able to stand on my feet because they were so shaky. it was so bad, the first few minutes after i woke up i didn't even want to get out of my room and check if everything is ok, or if it still looked like in my dream. well actually, i wasn't sure if it was a dream because it felt so real (but once again, no clocks on the wall).
a few minutes ago i finally got up and went around the house and of course everything was alright. but that shit ruined the day for me. i feel like not leaving the house at all and just staying in bed. having only a few minutes of sleep doesn't help either, but i'm sure as hell not going back to sleep now...
so yeah, that's my story. ideas?
p.s: speaking of avalanches: fuck you, minnesota wild! forsberg is back! go avs go!
