well that movie would have shown you something that happened more than 50 years ago. anyway, i guess people still do it in some parts of India which are still not as urbanized as the big cities. i haven't seen it happen personally. however, the bus thing i mentioned though is pretty common even in my city... atleast on the worst class of buses where the "doors" are always open.
