Sure. Dark played equal games with Cooller last year on Asus, he shows perfect timing and map control, but yeah, he would hardly keep up with Spartie without xerp on lan. You really have no clue.
its easy to find one example for everything, but what does it prove? Nothing maybe?
also: good luck with finding demos (note: demos is the plural of one demo) of relative equally skilled players where one has a 40% lg on LAN with a fair amount of usage while using OSP.
none of the demos i watched recently included a guy hitting >40% LG. was always around 32-38%.
i've never seen a demo where some noname beats a highskilled player due to 45-50% LG.
also i don't see why using the LG while falling down e.g. the platform on ztn is wrong or unskilled in any way?

why the hell can't you get a brain like fox and acknowledge the fact the game is broke and needs fixing even if he doesn't like xerp and is against it.
do u even fucking play vq3? anyone who has a brain can see that xerp isn't bloody natural. cpma netcode is good, but xerp is laghax and it's obvious. force players to degrade their gameplay experience for some extra accuracy, yeah this really makes sense!
the only ones who want xerp seem to be newbs who are scared they will be out-aimed without it. either that or cpm players who are generally retarded and can't even tell the difference.
The OSP netcode is no less a laghax than CPMA is, just CPMA is better at compensating for lag.
Using netcode to balance a game is stupid beyond imagination, why don't we lower maxfps to 30fps, that'll make it harder to aim!
One of the reasons DM games are (often) so good is that they have a high skill cap. The object of a competition mod should be to limit non-gameplay features getting in the way and lowering the skill cap (e.g. netcode/flashy visual effects etc.).
Why don't we fix the root of the problems?
We all know what the problems are, even the most stubborn of vq3 die hard fans cannot fail to identify them. Fixing the gameplay directly is the best option available.
Well said. It's a sign of how ridiculously attached to the religion of VQ3 settings a lot of players are when they suggest making features worse to preserve them. Quake 3 Luddites, I hope they stick to their guns and use ball mice too.
for the record (and it should be obvious) I am a utter die hard vq3 fan boy, and aside my obvious stupidity I am not that fucking stupid to blame a command for a fundamental gameplay flaw.
it makes no difference anyway, at the end of the day you still aim at the model and still have to track it the best your ability.
xerp is just a net command giving a better representation of the model. why blame a command that does a fucking brilliant job instead of the actual problem?
You know, people used to shoot underhand when playing basketball and also didn't leave the ground while shooting. Then it evolved into a set shot where the ball leaves from the chest into finally the overhead jump shot.

Maybe because the last tournament cooller entered, the next to last asus tournament, he had practiced well for two weeks before the tournament and won it in demolishing fashion.

why the heck are they battling over MH at 1.50 at dm6 if neither is going to pick it up until 2.20 anyway?! havent seen mega being spawned for 30 secs in a game with two good players ever before :D
