a firend of mine had problems on xp 64 also. he had to install xp 32 to get the mouse to work.

i get this also, my windows sensitivity is 6/11.

i dont think the staircase effect can be fixed on this mouse, its due to the prediction of the mouse has i believe.

Anonymous: The mouse works in Xp 64 in any game and i have no problems from other points of view..Don't make confusions between tracking and working in OS.Tracking is OS independent..
Cheese: i heard that at least 3 times but have no effect.. :(
Kush: what pad you have? ..

at the moment im using the Razer Mantis Control pad.

Latest firmware is 1.27 install it if it's not the "factory default" (most likely factury default is the 1.25, if you haven't check it through the firmware updateter or drivers, you should update)

Then might try stopping the drivers from booting up with program like Autoruns (microsoft program) as the drivers adds horribl latency to the mouse. (Feels like having it 30ms slowers then intended etc)

If you've put on some hyperglidz (mouse feet) and put them on, and not removed the original mousefeet, that makes skipping occure on ALOT of pads. The DA needs to be as close as possible to the surface else it won't read correctly.

So do the following things if you are going to put new mousefeet on them:
1) Removing the original feet
2) Washing the socket more or less clean with alcohol (the with pad comming with moust mousfeet) and wait for it to dry
3) Apply the new mousefeet into the socket and wait 1 min or more before using your mouse (else the feet might not stick good enough)

if i install the suggested autoupdate software in microsoft windows update. does it add the lag you are talkin about?

Have no idea, think those are the actual razor drivers. Can't say for sure as i've never used windows update for driver related things.
