I was thinking of something that many of you will consider crazy, but anyways :]
We all read news on some big websites like sk-gaming.com, esreality.com (:D) and so on. We all support some players that are really in top10 international. We all discuss who is better, who is worse in those top teams. But I realised, that everything that, let's say, 'big audience' (I mean really international) reads is about a small group of teams/players. Very small. But when it comes to something, where we need to prove the huge size of eSports community, f.e. when talking with sponsors, suddenly we see millions of gamers all around the world. But then we come home, and see only 10 top players from Korea.
On the other hand, every country have their own website for 'local scene news'. (I mean websites like espmania or fragbite). And when you really dig into those websites and look at some coverages from local events, you realise that there truly are milions of gamers! Some of them are better, some of them worse, but they practise, play, sacrifice and, what is the most important for me, they are fascinated with the game they play! Not only money, money, money :D.
So my point is: let the world hear (read) about those 'local' gamers! Let the biggest eSports websites provide information not only about top10, but even top100! Maybe one day you will win a LAN tournament in your nieghbourhood, and after getting home, you'll see your nickname (spelled incorrectly, because it's the first time, but whatever! They will do better next time! :P:D) on the homepage of your favourite web portal! COME ON!!! :D
What do you think? :]
(sorry for kinda chaotic style of this writting, but I've never been good in such a things) :D
