dont use 1000hz , 500hz

I don't modify intellimouse, I just keep it as it is. I've kind of got a medium sensitivity..which these days seems to be high compared to what the standard is now.

I used to use about 60cm/360 in a faster game than CoD with a DA and found I couldn't use such low sensitivity with my intellimouse.

Just use 500hz the difference is 1ms maximum. Mousepad has no effect. Just pick a more sensible setting for the in-game sensitivity and you'll be fine.

Another option is using a low amount of mouse acceleration in game which will help you avoid needing to move the mouse so fast that you encounter serious issues.

Remember the less acceleration you use the better don't set your sensitivity insanely low and then try to make that playable with that mouse with a high accel, you'll be worse off than before. Less is more.

75cm/360 is outrageous. Step down to something more sensible like 30-40cm/360

I cant get used to a higher sense, tried and i can't control it. ahh well thanks for the suggestions.

I was thinking using a mousepad with higher friction, since my current one glides so fast.

Ill try making my sense higher a bit, its not much of a problem though it only affects me in ultra close quarter combat like when i jump through a doorway and there is a guy standing 1 foot away from me in the corner.

please check out the ESR mousescore, the 3.0 follows your speed up to 1,2 m/s but after that stays at a continous speed no matter how fast you move your mouse.

You really ARE using a retarded sensitivity.

i like 1000hz with my ms3.0

I tried 1000hz but had some problems, such as a "sticky" problem on mouse1, where it would just keep firing by it self.

Changed it back to 500hz and all is sweet :>

Yea I've had 2 Copperheads start failing on me (wierd skpping, eventual on and off operability) at 1000hz. Replacements I ran at 500Hz and they've worked fine. I suggest no mroe than 500Hz for stability reasons. Risking instability and potential mouse failure isn't worth a 1 millisecond advantage.

well I changed my sense to about 45cm per 360 and I cant notice the negative accel as much if at all. switched back to 500Hz as well.
