Players are leaving fnatic and that may point on something. Probably that it doesnt go very well with this team or they just took the money from tournaments and give to less to players.

if the main reason is that cypher wants to play with avek, for me it would make for sense if avek would've joined fnatic. as sam matthews stated that it wasnt about the money and this way both would be in the same team, could pracc together and - in my opinion - avek would've a better chance of promoting the team and himself.
but maybe it has to do with avek feeling comfortable in serious and the 2gds departure from fnatic...dont know :o

As I don't believe fnatic got no money it's a bad sign for our community, actually. Fnatic lost interest in quake and unfortunatelly for us they prolly know what they're doin.

fnatic definatly got the money, they probably just dont want to invest into an upcoming quake player.
I mean cmon, unless fnatic puts their focus on CS and WoW only, they just cant let the ESWC-favorite go like this with the upcoming AGP (or whatever) tour coming next year.

Looking at their current WC3 team, all they have right know is CS and WoW since that wc3 team wont win anything in W3CL.. seems like another "The bigger they come the harder they fall" team in eSports business, sadly.

Also have the CoD team that is there or there-abouts (though CoD is still to get the big events).

Quake is becoming less of the focus at Fnatic after Vo0's departure and now this. Unfortunate. If they want to show focus on Quake, they need to pick up a major player soon (as so far the upcoming players are leaving) - time is running out though as the other teams have started snapping up players left, right and centre.

ok... but if CoD is so important to fnatic, why do they put their CoD players into the bottom-placed "acedemy" section instead of "professional"?!

I do agree with you...The focus seems to be lost on Quake considering Vo0 departed because they could not agree on terms and now they lose a guy who didn't drop a map for the entire Masters!

Bad decision imo. Quake doesn't have to be a big part of your squad but you can't let a talent like that slide (unless he has no plans to play QuakeLive / continue in Q3).

why do you think they 'definitely' have the money? have you seen the list of sponsors on fnatic.com? they barely have any at all anymore. they've lost numerous players in a short while as well.
