TF2 is still huge.

L4D isn't going to be that big in my opinion. It's coming out for all 3 platforms too, PC, PS3, and Xbox, and while I think the console kids will eat it up, it still won't be all that popular. It's specifically geared towards a coop experience and while it does feature a multiplayer...I think a lot of modding will be needed in order to get it formed into the type of multiplayer we would actually get enjoyment out of it.

Just my thoughts.

TF2 is, by far, the most played out of the current games. It's also comparatively easy to run.

i have a amd x2 3800+ and 7800gtx and i get like 30-120 on lowest settings

fuck ATI. I bought a 2600xt for my old rig and it sucks ass eventho it's quite faster on paper than my old card. just broken, torn graphics, shit drivers... no thanks.

No i agree, except, ATI have rewritten the rule book with this card.
I even have nvidia as my flag so I'm hardly biased towards ATI.

But these new AMD cards are just really powerful.
Back in the day AMD/ATI trounched Nvidia/Intel.

These cards are simply a big surprise in nerd world.

nah, I still use an amd a64 3400+ and a geforce 7800GS and I run it fine at high settings :D

maybe not at 125 fps at all times (around 60), but the game isn't nearly as fast as quake, so lower framerates aren't as much of an issue ;)

i am playing Grid at the moment, it is great fun even though it is an arcade style racing game. Funny crashes online, and the more skilled players are able to beat (avoid the crashes) and win

Crysis is actually an awesome single player game. It's really immersive with all the graphics maxed in a dark room with good gaming headphones on.
Also, Bioshock aim isn't that important, 'cause it's not that kind of game. Think of is as a FPS style old school'ish RPG. The writing isn't half bad and again, it's very immersive when you have the right settings and environment to enjoy it. Some peoples complaints about the game are that it's SystemShock but with better graphics, to which I respond with, "Awesome!".

TF2 is fun, it's not something you will likely ever really take seriously, but I mean that in a good way. Some people do manage to take it seriously, but overall the game's style is just far too overall amusing for me to ever play it and not have any fun.

Portal. There are various places where you can get some really sweet custom content

Quake 4. Now, I know what you're thinking, but if you have a good system and decent ping, Quake 4 is really, really hard to compete with, as far as awesome games go.

COD4. Again, single player is of course my favorite part of this game, and if you check out the Yahtzee review on ZeroPunctuation, you'll pretty much hear my exact views on it.
