Seriously, after watching so much VQ3 (and liking it) I was blown away watching CPM again.

excuse me then, i just assumed it wouldn't hamper someone like you because it generally doesn't effect me even coming off of two months no practice in cpm. as a matter of fact people told me my movement and cpm game improved when I was playing vq3 alot more.

tbh though i watched pieces of your demo vs czm in cpm and it looked to me like you were taking it easy. if so its not a shame to say so, because watching czm's pov shows that he knows practically nothing about how to play cpm correctly

I was trying, but I need a few days/weeks to get into CPM shape. My movement was horrible, I flicked too much, my timing was bad, I forgot how good RA really was, I didn't dmg myself for YAs, I forgot how powerful RL was and how sucky LG is (compared to Q3).
It's completely different, but who cares, me and czm had a great time playing some games and we both enjoyed it alot :)

word, well if you had fun thats what really matters anyway.

i can understand the neglecting ra too much cause in vq3 you get used to just aimwhoring it off people haha.

Something became blatantly obvious to me when watching this while switching between viewpoints. I think it's a good point to make between the differences in VQ3 gameplay and CPM.

In a game of CPM you can play it like VQ3 if you want. You have that freedom. In a game of VQ3 you are unable to play it like CPM. It's impossible. You are "capped" to the games limitations.

I'm not placing value judgments, just calling it as I see it.

Entertaining demos. CZM did very well, considering his atrocious movement and VQ3 approach to the game :) I'm sure he would do very well at any game he picks up.

Personally I think a player like Cooller or Fatality would do very well in CPM. They both have very very strong RL technique.

It's nice to see some RL flying again in CPM (as opposed to VQ3). CPM is a fantastic game.
