if you have a decent connection you can play on euro servers aswell.. yesterday i played against an american and he played very well with his 130ping. But yes, its definately a huge disadvantage.

What do you think of phrantic, galang and ravage?

phrantic is a classic and should definitely be there. but i dunno out of galang and ravage..

I think there are other CMP maps that would work good for duel, like [CMP]Spiral perhaps. If you tried a new map I think it would be really good because something different would make the tournament more fun, and it might help classify it as a "competition map" and that could lead to one extra map that people would feel obligated to play on in dules. People complain about wanting more duel maps, but I think there are plenty other duel maps, its just that the 5 played right now are the only ones that currently have competition power.

stick with the main 5, they work, they're tested, they're good. if you replace any map tho, i think it should be torment. the reason is that it can be controlled fully with mh/ra so close, and also the shaft is so dominant there. but tbh, stick with the 5 imo..

mmemjc, why do u do this all alone, u had to ask the admins of #spontan.games / www.spontangames.net for a common cause, for what is those q4 community there. They scheduled the same cup to a similar period, thats bulshit now but shit happens, next cup 1 week later, so they must reschedule it.

The forum thread was created 6 Days and 7 hours ago which is the 01.08.07, at least thats what the forum says to me.

since the first cup ran very well and i had alot fun, aswell as the participants.. i am thinking about a second one.

Since there was some requests for different modes, i want to hear your opinion.

i've came to the conclusion that only ctf/duel/tdm2on2 makes sense.

I heard some people moaning that it started too late last time, and also it was a bit confusing for some people because they didn't know that it was necessary to check-in on the website. Other than that it was fun, I would defo sign up for another duel cup ;)

No, we've got about 68 Signups, in total. I've opened the Check-in phase exactly as sheduled (19:30 CEST), it went to 20:00 CEST and only ~20 Peeps have checked in. (if i recall this amount correctly) and we (admins, users etc) were flooging the channel before. So i decided to extend the check ins till 20:10. A short amount before the time ran out we've got 32Signups, so i've decided to start.

Ok, i have to admit that i've only written that you have to stay in the irc channel + you have to check-in. But it would've been clear if more people cared to be _actively_ in the channel. Cause there were ~60 peoples in, before the check-in phase. Some guys got highlighted many times.

But yes, you're right it was a bit confusing at the start, i will do it better next time. Thank you for your criticism.
