Today the ESL proudly announced the launch of the Electronic Sports League (ESL) in the United States of America. Europe's biggest computer gaming league will start in the USA. Play Counter-Strike 1.6, World of Warcraft and Bomberman Online on ESL America. Enjoy the league that matters since 1996 finally in the USA. Furthermore qualify for the Intel Extreme Masters Season III with 750,000USD prize money!

American users will enjoy the comfort and fun of ESL now in America. They will show their skills in three games: Bomberman Online, Counter-Strike 1.6 and World of Warcraft. There are ladders and cups for all games.

its a fun game for people to figure out how the ESL ladder and cups work. cal and cevo offer different stuff and have a totally different user interface. bomberman is an easy entry for everyone to figure out how it works and better than splitting people into lots of different games in the very beginning

The ESL provides the structure to host online-competitions. And the community provides manpower to manage them. It all depends on volunteers.

yeah, just start a thread in the forum, get enough people interested and you get your tournament/section.

Maybe not with big prizemoney, but that also depends a lot on how many players the community can get together actively.

The ESL obviously does hate Quake.

Quake 3 section has been closed after it was denied to have a Gamesports full video coverage on each cup because of brainless rivalries between Gamesports and the ESL, there is no Quake 4 activity in terms of cups for more than a year though it´s demanded for on the forums...etc...etc...

For those who are Quakers here: Avoid the ESL!
