the dynamic CPM duo commenting on VQ3 again? I've been watching Q3 demos since 1999-2000 or thereabouts, and I've been playing the game just as long. I can quite easily follow top players and what they're doing in a game.

You don't know the first thing about Q3. I watched this demo twice up past the 2 minute mark just to see if you had anything substantial to say, and, as usual, you didn't. There was nothing majorly wrong with what went on up to that point, let alone the idiotic things you pointed out, which have nothing to do with tactics or timing (the things that matter in VQ3).

And you insinuating that I'm somehow big-mouthed or whatever is absurd, because I don't recall ever claiming to be good at Q3 whatsoever (at least not seriously), nor anything remotely resembling that. I, however, can still beat you easily with 150 ping if I care enough. I wouldn't call that being big mouthed. And, of course, I only know that because I HAVE played you with 150 ping and nearly beat you without trying, and you, naturally, won't play me under conditions that favor me. If I'm wrong about that, I'd love to indulge you.

first the typical esr tough talk: hey noob, dont post ur noob demos, I play more close/entertaining games every night :P

on second thought: since every one except Mr. Anton Singov is noob of some skill level or other and many esr whiners might have been worse than you in their first few months of q3..here are some do's and dont's

Do's

1. Strafe faster than that, u gotta reach places before the other guy does.
2. Try to take/time MH more.
3. When u try those double rocket combos, like hit a rocket at the foot of an aggressive enemy and try to hit a 2nd one as he flies away (there were plenty of those situations in the game) move around a lil bit after first rocket hit, if u stand still even when the other guy flies away he has the lg beam fixed to you and most likely you wont survive till the time of making the 2nd rocket.
4. Leave the class clown attitude.

Dont's

1. When u r +backing and trying to rail someone dont be nervous and dont throw a slug randomly at him, it most likely wont hit. the way to aim rail is not trying to take the cross hair over the enemy rather expect the enemy position beforehand, keep the crosshair there and as soon the model passes under the crosshair ..bam.
remember if u r running away and the rail doesnot hit he will get u,since rail has a high reload time, if u make the rail however, he will be thrown off balance and take some time to re-adapt while u can escape / land another rail. Dont be nervous while railing, u might take a lil damage but u gotta land the rail.

2. dude what were u thinking arnd 7:30 mark, u shud lged his ass off as he goes up the jumppad instead u tried some weak plasma on ground and then ran away, weapon choice makes HUGE difference.

3. dont stand at RA when u know enemy has perfect idea of ra time, it is just offering an easy kill to him.

4. when u r at RL platform and u see the enemy going towards RA with a lg locked on to u, do not jump down unless he has really low health and u can finish him off by lg till he reaches RA, most likely he has more health than tht and by the time u reach ground, u r already dead by lg and he has RA. rather throw some rockets to keep him vexed arnd RA/ throw around so that u can get a better lock and maybe in fact afford coming down.

5. Do not make a fool out of yourself in ESR.

I just wanted to take a second to thank the 3 people who are intelligent, and have better things to do than to let their Attention Deficit Disorder get them sidetracked - in an attempt to achieve "ESR cool status".

The feedback has helped my game a lot quite frankly - and once again I wanna thank the people who sat through the 15 minute demo and pointed some stuff out.

just watch a demo from your enemies pov, you'll soon see how fucking shit you are and you'll be amazed to how you're possibly losing

I can actually give you a piece of useful advice - at your level, you just need to play more. Stop posting demos because nothing anybody says here is going to improve your game.

Yes, your timing (for example) clearly needs work, but there are so many other flaws in your game it won't currently make a shred of difference if you do time. Your main problems are intuitive - your game has absolutely no direction - and those can only be improved upon with practice. There's no guarantee you'll "get it" (and from what I've seen there's a good chance you won't), but practice does improve even the worst.

Here's some good advice: don't ask others what to do, you need to figure out for yourself what to do, and what not to do.

I've done the same as you(not by posting demos tho...) and finally I realized I need to figure things out on my own... I dare to say almost everyone had to figure it out themselves(hence; the diversity in styles).
