Its wifi. Your two main hang ups with that are the quality of your router and how clean your signal is to it. If either are shitty, then that is going to cause way more issues than how good the actual adapter is.

well the signal is always saying it's on "excellent" at full speed which was never the case in my old apartment. But still gaming is pointless.. :( god i hate wireless!

intel should release a wireless nic. their wired nics rox.

you sure noone else is using the same line? is the wired network protected with some encryption/password?

if the router supports the new "N"-standard of Wifi, you could be better off with an "N"-supporting NIC, giving a better signal and speeds

you could also try putting the router on different places, where it might suffer less of interruption

larger antennas are also being sold, which you can easily screw onto your existing nic

well the signal always say it's on full capacity, it just gets spikes and wondered if that's because of interruptions from other devices in the apartment or if the signal on a 56mbp card was useless? upgradign to a 270mbp card would improve it do you think?

My friend is stating because the internet is 4meg and my card is saying it's running at full on 56mbp there should be no need for a bigger card. so lost :o) think i'll jus tblow the cash and try it

had the same problem with my old netgear setup

with Linksys it works fine

could be the router, not the card.
