Yokese - optical mouses got about 1mm liftoff which you shoulden't feel, i think laser mouses got even less liftoff but overall laser got more downsides then upsides so i'd stay with optical.

I woulden't recommend you to switch mouse at all, DPI dosen't matter in a shit and there is no better mouse today then WMO/IMO/IME3.0 for FPS games. If u insist then the DeathAdder is the only reasonable high-DPI mouse i can think of as an alternative.

You can actually tweak your current mouse to above 125Hz polling rate then the feeling would be much better for sure, there are tons of programs that do that just google USB mouse rate changer in google and you will find something for sure.

coincidentally, the Death Adder has the worst (highest) liftoff distance of any of the mice I own.

Buying a new moust just so you can have a higher dpi is stupid. Lower your sensitivity some and stick with the wmo. If cypher can do it, so can you! ;)
