The rent in 200 square metres in Piccadilly Circus is higher than the rent for 2,000 square metres in Birmingham Corporation/Dale End! I think Coventry street (the one running from Leicester Square to Piccadilly Circus) is one of the busiest streets in the UK.

This place looks reasonable but I looked through the pics and there does not appear to be any quake being played. Also why do uni students get to pay less! INFAIR!

Can't think of a better area in central London for a place like this than the Trocadero. Hope it works out, considering the arcade upstairs (which is pretty shit really) seems to do pretty damn well I'd imagine it could become pretty busy.

It's doing great actually, better than we thought - making over a thousands pounds a day just from people walking through, nevermind the events like this one which the publishers pay more for. We've got a company that wants to buy us out so we're just negotiating a deal now, which will be complete by the end of the month. Good times :).

WoW rushing out the PTR and it being in such a horrible state might actually help WAR out with the release. If they keep getting publicity like this, they might actually give Blizzard some competition.

i highly doubt that, after some time the only people playing it will be the people with the metal figures and board games.

They're already at 1 million beta testers, and the RTS games still do quite well.

Beta testers don't mean anything when the majority didn't pay.

Then they have a giant market to tap of people who already willingly spend massive amounts of money on Warhammer.

every ex-wow players who hated wow was all "this is the new thing finally something will kill wow omg its so awesome!!11". from what ive seen of war its basicly a bad ripoff.

True, WAR is a cheap ripoff, but WoW was in much the same shape at it's release. While most people would agree that WoW has a better overall experience, a lot of people seem to agree that WAR has superior PVP. Personally, I don't like it, and I certainly don't think it'll kill wow, but competition is good for the consumer.

difference is though, beeing where wow was 5(?) years ago isnt good.. you need to be at wows level or even better to compete.

i think most mmos will phail if it doesnt change genre dramaticly to get more customers (anime has worked for some) or going free like tibia.

but i guess we have to wait and see.

I think the current state might be enough for it to survive long enough to patch/expansion it's way to some market share. A lot of people are fed up with WoW, and EA has plenty of money to throw at WAR. Not for sure, but it's possible.

i dunno how you can call WAR a true ripoff of WoW, considering the fact that you could then say WoW is a ripoff of DAoC and DAoC is a ripoff of EverQuest or whatever. WAR is pretty different, infact the only MMO i've played that's truly original compared to the rest is DDO, i really like that game, i played it for a few months and it actually required a lot of teamplay and skill, the game was HARD. you're not given everything to you like you are in WoW and so on, imo.

Except WAR is a ripoff of WoW. On purpose. Remember the first time it made it to beta? It got pushed back to alpha because every beta tester complained that WoW was better. I'm not saying WoW isn't a ripoff, but WAR was designed specifically to compete with WoW.
