if we were robots then we all would be using same settings.
Use settings that match you, not some pro player.

2000dpi, 500hz
if that feels fine, then it's fine.
1000hz tends to glitch, lowering dpi is pointless.

i find 450dpi and 1000hz to be nice with my deathadder on q3

however

using the highest dpi and hz is always the best for any mouse you buy as they are designed for that, but, that doesnt mean to say your computer, the game, or you yourself will handle it well.

anything above 250hz and 400dpi is fine, just use what you want.

k thanks.. i am on 1600 dpi which is ok for me.. 2000 is too much
and yes i noticed at 1000 hz quake lags.

with multiple mice, from razer DA to intelli 1.1 to mx518, all of them tend to not register button presses so well at 1000hz

(Oh, mx300, the best mouse ever. I wish they'd make some retro edition of those, I would have bought a ton of them).
