Anyways, as if your mom and uncle would sit out any match, regardless of what game it is...People watching a fighting game match are interested in fighting games, most probably. So they would also be aware that SC4 and DoA4 are not so very deep and play very loose.

MvC2 was awesome.

Still is...just the scene has died out pretty much, which is a shame in my opinion. Third Strike has the biggest scene at the moment, due to GGPO. Alpha 3 and ST are doing pretty good as well. There might be MvC3 coming up though, in some interview with the designer from Capcom, it said that Marvel was eager to make one.

What I meant with the statement that we should be playing MvC2 for it's fluidity is that the game has 2D graphics (which is a turn-off to outsiders), but it's more fluid than DoA or any of the other crap they are talking about. If you were to pick the game just by how long the combo's are (since they consider poking, blocking and other strategic play to be boring on the linked site), then MvC2 wins hands down as well, of course.

In DOA4 it's easy for the audience to understand, MvC2 is not :)

"DOA4 has bouncing tits, MvC2 doesnt" is more likely the reason why the audience likes it better.

DOA4 is not easier to understand I think, with all the different counters...DOA4 doesn't really punish you much for rushing your opponent down like an idiot and making lots of mistakes. Once you lauch your opponent with a kick, you can just mash out your combo. Only the counter system puts you at risk with leaving openings, but making a counter is risky, since it has 3 possible angles, whereas Third Strike only has 2 for parrying. This doesnt make the game deeper, it just makes it harder for the person attempting a counter to get it right, thus allowing more space for rushing down without holding back (you'll be in the advantage anyways). That would be the only reason why DOA4 is more fluid, because it's noobs rushing each other down like idiots. Once they get to a higher level, the game is bound to slow down as well, since doing stupid stuff will become more risky (like it is now with Third Strike...once you get parried, you have a problem).

Third Strike is really easy to follow as well...You can show just about anyone the Daigo parry clip and they will understand. Street Fighter 4 will be a lot like this, really clear what's going on. I hope they switch from DOA4 to SF4 when it comes out.

I live in Texas, and 99% of the players here are Mexican. Our arcade has a Marvel, Soul Calibur 4, Tekken 5, CvS2, and SvC chaos, but they all play Marvel.
