Yes, LG frags off of a jumppad are totally orsome....

Maybe if you're pushing them away from you and they can't aim at you, but when you suspend them right above your head for 5 seconds and rapid them while moving back and forth to avoid being shot at...that's amore! =)

Don't really wanna argue, but it was just 2 seconds and plasma is hard to hit with to begin with, so its not that amazing>< (yes, some people are amazing with plasma.)

Are you using quake3.exe? Or ioquake/cnq3? I had some weird issue with the sound getting garbbled at high FPS captures, but in ioquake it works great at 50fps using /video.

I've done a couple short test clips with ioquake using /video at 50fps and it comes out looking insanely crisp with good sound. I'm no video codec expert, but I'd think it was uncompressed because the video sizes are massive for such short clips.

I'm at work right now, but if I see you on IRC later this week sometime I'll send you a link to one of the clips I've done with /video using ioquake. It's worth a shot, imo.

isnt video capture broken in cnq3? (but not in ioquake3)

I think you're right about cnq3, I think the sound is garbled on all /video captures. But ioquake3 produces some really nice/smooth results. But I'm not positive... I'm not pez (god of movie making). what I've seen (and done) with ioquake3's /video capture stuff looks pretty good to me and seems like the best of all worlds since you don't even need an image sequencer after that to throw the images into an avi or whatever.

Just because one player has trouble, doesn't mean everyone else does. Jibo's game might be difficult for fox - more so than rapha's perhaps. Jibo's game might also be easier for another player to handle; therefore Jibo is not guaranteed a first or second place as you seem to think.

And you can't just say Rapha IS harder to play against. If anything, recent tourney results are very random and one can hardly make any conclusions besides the fact that cypher is very consistent.

Fox actually said that Jibo was annoying to play, which is not the same as difficult, and does not imply it.

Clashing styles aside, I think it's more likely he was talking generally, as, without specific quantifiers, the general case is generally assumed.
