I'd suggest Ultimate Ears Super.fi 5 pro or Tripple.fi range from Ultimate Ears instead of any other in-ear phones. They are expensive, but very good in quality.

However for the PC I'd suggest the HD 555 from Sennheiser, where size doesn't really matter.

That said in-ear phones are always a torture for me, the ears hurt like mad after few hours of wearing them, but they serve fine for a quick ride on your bike where the standard headphones would be to clumsy.

But in general I avoid audio equipment from someone who just think it's trendy to make their own like Razer in this example.

You are correct sir. Ultimate Ears and Shure make the best ear-buds on the planet.

enough said right there. i already wrote that they will not measure up to Shure canalphones or whatever high end stuff some guys are rocking, but they can be good on a budget.

Well if you want good budget in-ear plugs, you should first look at Philips, Sony, Sennheiser and things alike not Razer. But that's my opinion of course.

For example, I've seen Philips SHE9700 for 29EUR (Amazon lists them for $23) the other day. While not the high-end and a bit old they are still very good and considerably cheaper as the new Razer.

I'll admit I didn't read the whole review, so I just guess that the Razer aren't a dual driver.

When I am sitting stationary (which I usually do while gaming oO) I dont see the use of wearing in ear phones. I would anytime go for a decent headset over in-ear ones, since you can wear a good headset nearly indefinately, while in-ear one will start to hurt after a while.

Second thing is that a headset isolates the sound of your surrounding a lot better, then in-ear phones. While this might be of no concern at home, on your next tournamen sitting in reach of the young CS players, you will beg for good sound isolation :)

So imho this is a total waste of investion for a gamer, but for razer aswell, since I dont think they will sell that many of those....

As a conclusion, I can not see a single fact that would make me use those over my Senheiser headset !

real in-ear phones usually have better isolation than regular closed headphones. but the budget in-ear stuff lacks isolation.

if worn as intended (ie sealing the hole in your ear) then good in-ear earphones block out far more noise than almost all closed headphones, maybe you are thinking of ipod/walkman style ear-buds?

also i wear them 5-6 hours a day, every day and never have any comfort issues, certainly not pain

Depends from ear to ear I'd say. I can wear them for one or two hours max but then the ear really starts to hurt to the touch and burn as if it was frostbite.

Altho I agree they block out noise considerably well compared to all other headpones, though sealing the ear takes some practice and getting used too.

Another negative for in-ear phones is the ear grease, I really don't like to clear the phones every time I use them, and it looks pretty gross while pulling them out in front people. (I got an ice ball into my ear, as a kid, damaging parts of it , and that ear is constantly very very greasy from that day on, if I clean it the next second It'll be there again)

i just would like to know, if i can just HEAR/LISTEN my fucking headphone and ignore the sound behind or around me?

Earphones like these are what will cost your hearing. Buy proper closed headphones so you don't have to listen to games/music at full blast. Kthx.

you are not supposed to listen to earphones full blast either. you're not supposed to listen to anything full blast.

my iphone at 20% with the moray is plenty loud enough to hear songs.

You aren't supposed to but you will if the background noise becomes too loud and starts cancelling the music.

It's quite crazy to see quite a lot of people listening to music so loud you can hear the drum beats on bus for instance. I listen to music at a very low volume.

Also just so we're clear: I don't mean to attack you or your reviews or the product, just the typical earplug design which imo isn't the bestest.

er there is no background noise. these things are like ear plugs. you're isolated to a great extent which is why you don't have to use a high volume.
