thank god bigfoot, erazor and myself have been able to keep Q3CTF to osp, meaning we now are still able to play some Q3CTF now and again, since there actually still is a community for it.

you and your other fanboys are no longer able to play q3tdm, unless you want to play vs polish, russians and czech and slovak clans, which are the very last ones still playing cpma

The score is not because of the "mod", but because of the map, or the playstyle of the teams (if they ALLDEF all match long, you are sure that the score will be 0:0)

Stop whining about the mod, we played during 8 years with OSP, and you can't say that it was "only" crappy during all this years... We had marvelous competitions, matchs (in NC, CB, opencup, jolt, barryworld, quakecon...) with OSP.

Set maps was the best bit of jolt it made it more then the same old maps chosen every match.

nah it's the netcode, it feels like you can instantly add 10 percent to your rail accuracy or so (hitting teh most bullshit shots), effectively making teh game even more def heavy IMO

that's the fault of VQ3 then... not the mod. hitscan weapons are way too high atm in VQ3, whichever mod you take. using worse netcode as a workaround is actually a step backward.

as ashr said, the problem is the limits set by gameplay, not the technical environment (netcode). therefore -> cq3

no, cpma uses different rendering methods as osp which is why shots seem "off" (seem as in being drawn) while they're actually not. it's just a different display, the shots are still the same.

As someone who played 3 years of CTF in osp and then vq3 i can certainly say that cpmactf is in my opinion more truer to the form of the game. I will always prefer osp because im better at it but fuck cpm is fun.

I think cpma is good for nubs like you but not for experienced players that are able to predict.

ya osp is for people who can aim 4 feet in front of people to hit them because of the netcode. that takes a lot of prediction. i guess cpma nubs this down seeing as how it predicts accurately for you.
