nope, i dont care about the hitsounds. but ths stupid spawnsystem is shit, movement changes, less ammo with the weapons (it's not cpm ffs) and so on.

there are only 2 thing that are better as in vq3, the raildmg-system and the hitsounds. for all the other points, it's not worth to change from playing vq3.

You probably think it's bad because of fairly improbably events that people demo and go 'lol spawn system', even on a badly designed duel map with only 6 spawns the chance of 3 spawns in the same spot is 1 in 27, duel maps should have 8 or more spawns so the chance becomes 1 in 64. This is with CPM's random far half system.

problem with cq3 spawnsystem is not amount of spawns but size of vq3 maps which considerablly bigger than cpm maps. On small maps like hub3aeroq3, pukka3tourney2, necro6 it works fine but on maps like q3dm6 and ztn3t1 it permits survived health-weaked player avoid attack of newly respawned opponent. this fact and even more skill-dependent cq3 shaft makes cq3 more aim dependent than vq3.
better one: select half spawns (for next random pick) in depence not only of opponent placement but and of his healt+armor. if my opponent survived after fight with me and weak i wanna respawn in half respawns close to him.

That is good for the game and making MG cessing less powerful for control does not make the game more aim dependent, MG cessing does. Spawners should not be retaking control easily and regularly as they can in VQ3. As for the shaft the claims and counter claims are ridiculous. CPMA netcode makes shaft easier- people claim the game is too aim-based, CQ3 modifications make shaft weaker and you claim it makes the game more aim-based. What exactly would make the game less aim-based, as these two seem to be directly contradictory?

You forget again that we’re speaking about big vq3 maps on which matches often end with low score like 5:4 or even 2:1, not about small cpm maps where strong control can be broken in a few minutes. Cq3 spawnsystem makes control more unbreakable than vq3.
About shaft – I know that shaft is weaker and weapons more balanced. I just say that cq3 shaft is more difficult to use and so peoples with better aim will have more advances by using shaft in cq3 than in vq3 which means cq3 is more aim dependent.

Q4Max spawn system was chosen to replace defective vq3 spawn system. There was no any other tested spawn system to use!
It doesn't make sense to give players easy pattern frags on big maps. So Q4Max spawn system on any map is best atm.
CQ3 spawn system is changed for 147 anyway, so stop whining about it.

If u played cpm, u could understand that there was no ideal aim. CQ3 weapon balance is about that all weapons are good. First player shoots 65% mid rockets, uses 120 fov and plays +forward, second one shoots 50% railgun or 35% shaft, uses 90 fov and playes +back. But both of them should use all weapons to win.

Shaft is more difficult to use 'cause enemy is free to move and shoot. Even if u are goddess of aim, u can't shoot restless enemy unharmed. And your shaft knockback presents your enemy a power to escape.
VQ3 shaft just freezes enemy. He can't do anything more than using 320ups strafes and shooting. So if u said VQ3 is less aim I would agree. VQ3 = "LESS AIM", CQ3 = "BETTER AIM" Feel the difference!
ix told that vq3 is aim-based 'cause shaft aim is the only way to survive in face to face battle and railgun aim is the only way to kill enemy unharmed, u can't use any other of gameplay features.

CPMA is not just CQ3 as u know.

VQ3 games are not normally that low scoring any more and that it requires a lucky spawn to gun down enemies to regain control is complete BS. You're just used to it and are making up silly points to defend a bad design feature. If control being too strong is the underlying problem that can be fixed but not with stupid fixes like an overpowered spawn weapon and bad spawns.

While the VQ3 system allows the spawner to gun down anyone in the open with 70 or so HP with the ridiculous MG. You like the VQ3 system and will defend it endlessly so this is my final response.

Only way to make a game not aim-dependent is to build in an aimbot so everybody has the same aim.

Till then, there'll be weak aimers and great aimers, and ofcourse also smart and dumb players.

it's not only way. there is another - "restrict" maximum accuracy. it was in osp by bugs and it can be implemented as a feature. there are plenty of methodes to do this.

the power of rail is just a matter of DPS. i tried to show that weapon balance and aim-dependence are diffrent things. for example CPM has 3 approximatly equal component: movement, aim, tactics. but in OSP VQ3 tactics >> aim+movement, and i liked it

That's bullshit. Tactics only become important once players are on the same skill level aim wise. Otherwise aim > * Our perception is skewed by top level play. Of course you might say player X has better shaft than player Y, but in reality all top level players have exceptional aim with only miniscule differences when compared to the larger populus.

It's happened to me twice against dziku, and it wasn't luck, he just did the exact same thing tiwce.

Where 'exploiting it' is being prepared for a low probability outcome when it happens and positioning yourself. That sounds like skill to me. Design a spawn system and if it's better we'll use it.

Choose spawn almost rewards you for dying, I think I'll choose to spawn on RA, to cess them when useful or to be safe otherwise. It's also clunky and you'd have to be very quick to choose your spawn before the respawn timer ran out.

Well, it brings a new tactical thing to the 'playground'.

Dead guy has to choose the most advantous spawn.

Killer has to think about where the dead guy has the most advantage to spawn.

Dead guy should not pick the obvious spawn near a pu if he doesn't know the spawntime and to point 2, the enemy should predict where the dead guy will spawn.

its a hard topic to suit everyone. But as i see it you may as well focus on making it perfect for duels, because spawns in tdm or ctf would still often mean you spawn in front of an enemy player.

Suggest a better spawn system? Random from half of the farthest spawn spots + 0.35 seconds invulnerability right after spawn, for small maps where "half of the farthest spam spots" are directly accessible. 0.35 sec should be enough to spawn and move away from oncoming rockets/grenades at your feet.

Let me detail "random from half of the farthest spawn spots" for the slow minded: X dies. There are 20 spawn spots on the map. The spawn spots are ordered by distance from closest to farthest. The game selects the 2nd half (10 medium to farthest spawn spots), then picks a random one). X is spawned with 0.35 sec invul.

a better player will always rape you, no matter what spawnsystem is running. and yes i like vq3 and i liked osp, so there is no reason to do an extra-mode. osp/vq3 for the vq3ers and cpm for the cpmers.

and to give you an example for the spawnsystem. imagine you get your enemy nearly down and he kills and you spawn with the cq3-system, you are on the other sinde of the map, he takes the next armor and you are in disadvantge again, n1. and to take that point to the next level, you could keep on killing the enemy always near a point from where you can reach the key-items even better. so it would be much harder for the opponent to get control back. and so on.

the exact same thing can happen with vq3 spawnsystem too (when the corpse is near the killer)
Also, there are often situations where its good to spawn not next to your opponent (when he is fully stacked or when there are items up on the other side of the map.

Both spawn systems can create stupid situations, personally I don't really care anymore which is used (as long as it isn't the spawnsystem in a certain title which is in closed beta atm :(

they tried to use classic maps + some new maps
no one voted the new maps
90% of the matches have been played on classic maps

they can't play 90% of matches on a classic map if you include one classic map (the logical choice being ztn)

In cq3 +back is too powerful :/. How can I catch a rabit with that weak RG on distance? That's how I've just lost deciding map (ztn) in CB CQ3 Final :/.

rg is not a cure for enemy's backing. Powerful rg makes backers powerful. Count armors and mega. Catch your rabbit with carrot and use more highrate weapons. rg fragability differs only when u give up fighting for armors.

It was ztn where you have 2xYA, RA, MH and some Shards. So even if you control MH and RA it's not hard for your enemy to get 100/100. Then you need to hit 3 rails instead of 2, or even 4 if he picks 50hp running back. Highrate weapons are useful only if you succeed to catch him closer. In my game he was always around corners and he was instantly hiding behind corners and running away, the only thing I could do was to hit 1 rail and follow him probably getting damaged by securing rockets. Finally I needed to retreat and get mega or red.

I can bet you didn't see so def player like that one. I didn't. Here's demo of that game if you want ;).

I'm not against CQ3 and I just wanted to say that this gameplay is better for +backers. On VQ3 it also can be played like that but I think that is a little bit harder.

CQ3 should be played on maps which were designed for it like the ones in this cup.

It may suggest that a better direction for rail is 100 damage, 2 second reload than lower damage. That means the 2nd shot is dangerously slow if you're caught out positionally (1.5 seconds for 200 damage is pretty absurdly powerful) and can still hurt runners.

All you just said prove that the only problem is the 'nothing' armorsystem. Railgun was the only powerful thing to get backers. Thats true. But railgun was powerful by itself. And if u fight a backing railer you must be the railer to win. No sense, just instagib.

Btw if u play ztn as ur rival's home map and u can't win, this means that his backing style is better than yours on ztn. This is what home maps idea about. And this is good. No reason to destroy a gameplay for that.

I saw the demo and imho you lost not because of that. But because some times (2 or 3 at least) during the last 5 minutes of the game (I guess), you didn't make easy frags because YOU entered the portals before fragging him, and he obviously didn't go after you...
