I guess about 2 years ago, I had the same conclusion, also influenced by that article (ps: your link doesnt work, but i know which one you mean). And I have to agree its a great pad. I guess you're also someone who likes low friction but still wants the "stabilising effect", size and "hand-glide" that cloth offers.

Actually, I dont use mine anymore and its still in good shape. But I'm doubting if I will get back to it when I'll be gaming again (over 3 years inactive now :x ).

You know what? Try to convince me by posting a funny photo of yourself here. Ass-whipe your old pad or something, be creative (i'm not into gay stuff).
And about payment, you can have the Hybrid for free, but I'm not paying ahead for transport....

you want to try stuff cost-carefree you should look into some newer mouse pads seeing as those reviews are from 2005. Razer Goliathus Speed, Razer Mantis, Razer Megasoma (a nice hybrid) or maybe a Mionix Alioth 400, etc.

i have tried various razer products, all of them were bad, not gonna waste any money there

the alioth looks good but a bit too thin still

imo qpad is the best padwhen it's at its peak and the guy said the hybrid pad surpasses qpad in all ways hence my interest towards it

there hasn't been that much improvement on the pad market since '05. only a handful of truly good products.

probably gonna go for a new one. tho i'd like to know if they changed the pad since the design has changed and they are advertising it as a "novelty pad"
