I've shot lots of guns, and none of them had controls remotely resembling a keyboard and mouse. I've driven lots of cars, and not one had a keyboard and mouse interface. I've never seen an airplane with controls that resembled a keyboard and mouse. These kind of people don't realise they're actually playing a game, so realism is pointless if you can use an alternate control mechanism to do better. Besides, I've played on the Wii enough to know it could use more precision here and there, plus in some games, doing the action you'd do in real life doesn't always work out that well.

He's kind of right though, the wiimote is somewhat more intuitive than a keyboard/mouse.

He's also driven lots of cars and shot lots of guns - how could we disagree with that?

Even the often cultivated "pc gaming is more expensive" is a dated myth. In order to get most out of today's consoles you need a HDTV.
If you upgrade at the right times you can survive the typical console's life spawn with the same rig. Who doesn't have a PC in their household that cannot run most of today's games or isn't upgradable with a little effort?

If I play consoles I constantly find myself wanting to get closer to the screen and squint and I feel like I can't control everything. I haven't found a posture more comfortable in consoles, the Wii's the worst.
Who plays holding their pad on their lap, instead of holding it in air (which causes more tension) anyway ?

What games are there in consoles? Want some more of those lovely RANDOM ENCOUNTERS with your J-RPGs? I couldn't even play the hyped FF7 with PC.
