that's not necessarily true, i watch many sports that i don't play and thats not even popular in sweden, like snooker for example.
just by getting to know the rules, why players play different starts in different situations and getting to know the different personalitys from the commentator i got hooked. i think it wouldn't be any different for many ppl about e-sports.

You're making the assumption that sports = esports. I too watch sports that I don't play. But I sure as hell don't watch video games that I don't play.

this is very similar to what we have in competitive tae kwon do. i think it is time that e-sports take a page out of our book--the martial arts have been capitalizing on this realization for some time now, and it's only a matter of time before this niche is filled with more modern forms of entertainment. the CPL and other organizations are doing themselves a disservice by not heeding the example put forth by other sports.

it's not a sport. calling it a sport makes competitive gaming less attractive, tbh.

Generally, a so called 'pro gamer' is similar to an porn actor. He does what he loves most and wants to get paid for it. If he doesn't get paid for it, he still goes for it. When the others perform bad, he doesn't get mad. Because in the end, it's about fun, and when you have fun, you don't have to eat at all!
