tend to agree. A bit too much spawnfrags, but all in all a nice movie. That cartoon in the end reminded me of one of the Eurocup movies, which has similar random stuff.

Way too many spawnrapes for my liking. It's not that difficult to spam spawnpoints and it's certainly not a display of skill.
Some nice pixel rails though.

Eventually I will follow the Nations Cup... but for my feeling Q3 TDM was dead for a very long time... to give you an idea when I was playing TDM actively you had dutch teams such as X4, Deegrollers (regeneration) etc...

Eventually I am familiar with all the dutch players in the TDM team, although Silencep is new for me... maybe switched nickname during the times... or just a fast newcomer ;)

tdm dead? where did you get that from? there are fewer clans surely, but with all these cups it looks alive & kicking atm. It hasn't evolved in a good way imo, but that's another thing (too much ffa).
From the nl team Silencep is the least known for me as well, but after seeing a couple of games from him it looks like he's one of the better players of the team.

I said TDM was dead... indeed recently there are some cups for TDM which is really nice!

Hey DDK, I disappeared almost a year ago I think after the Ipower games in Portugal where I played Q4 and SupCom for the Dutch team (around that time I just left London where I lived for a half year).

After that I stopped playing games... If I play a game I want to be the best... but I think I am not really pro materials to be a top 3 man... for some reason I am not made for that haha...

Currently I am studying and running a business, really love doing my job at my office... I am not a big fan of studying but it can't hurt to have a good degree ;)

But as it seems I am still alive and kicking haha :)

ahh that's good to hear man! it's definitely a smart decision to drop gaming altogether, or at least playing seriously. although it would be cool to see you playing again for the dutch team ;).

study wise, i'm at university getting a law degree right now, so i have some free time to spend on quake, poker, working out/whatever else i want to do thankfully. i suppose you struggle finding free time with studying and working on your business?

Eventually I drop gaming altogether, sometimes if I see a good quake 3 movie I get in the mood to play again but until now I can restrain myself haha, playing for the dutch team would be cool but I think at this stage I am far from good enough, eventually they need some good old school players in shape so they make it through the group stages :P

Good thing you are getting a law degree, sounds good to me! It’s sweet to have beside your study some quality spare time to have some fun :)

I am indeed struggling with finding spare time but it’s all worth it! Eventually you already build up a future beside your boring study.

Btw I am planning on visiting London this year… pound currency is sweet :P

a stream is no good alternative to a decent xvid version.
i also had to watch the stream because my machine cant handle super high quality h264 videos. ye it was good for a steam and ye it was better than nothing. still the quality of a stream is too low for my taste

Pretty nice movie.

Nice rockets, nice rails and some nice lg tracking.

However, slowmo was overused, on shaft esp.

Some frags just weren't that special...

But what I really HATED about the movie were all the spawn frags.

Especially the scene on hub where the enemy keeps spawning 'in front of him'.

That isn't skillful at all.
In fact, everyone hates it when that happens, except the player making the kills because he's getting some easy kills.
Watching that scene reminded me of how much I hate it, not an effect a fragmovie should be aiming for:P

i agree that the hub spawnkilling was not skillful but it is kinda funny so i don't mind it.

overall the vid was ok. it would have been better to have more shots from real matches. the shots vs foe being are the only ones? it's not as impressive to see kills on pubs and ca. i could record games from xs4all and get loads of air rockets but whats the point.

Oh man, I've never seen these frags on dm6/ztn. Ever.

Sil rocks, some great frags there! Had to watch the stream cos my pc couldnt handle the avi, but still looked nice.

I wasnt able to watch the full movie cause the guy who made it obviously doesnt know what he is doing but first things first.
First song was good imho and the content was okey as well, a bit to much slow motion.
Second song was horrible, same with content, editing that existed was good.
Here I stopped cause the movie continued but the music did not..
Then I realised it was h264 in avi and I felt trolled, good sir please head over to doom9.org and ask them why you should never NEVER put h264 in avi. Okey? Its wrong and should not have been done ever. Use a good container like mkv for h264 next time.

- couldnt play it with VLC, mpc worked fine then
- in the first half, there was a lot of crackling in the sound
- frags were ok
- music was ok, last song was great
- editing was fine

Not got a clue who he is, but was a good movie. Gave it good marks purely cause the content was good, but the music did suck badly.
