Woot? That horrible lag while loading pages is once and for all gone? Seems i might actually get back to mindless browsing out of boredom

Adblock or noscript for firefox stopped this issue a long time ago. Falkag.net is the problem, so just block it.

yes..but blocking it in opera simply didn't work, loading time remained the same eventho there were no ads..and i quite didn't like the idea of getting firefox + adblock just to browse this site few times a day..

Well, I don't use adblock, so I can't comment on it anyway. I use noscript which blocks almost everything.

I'm guessing the people who were complaining about this are the people who buy EA games even though they're filled with DRM that ruins the experience.

There's nothing noble about looking at ads, fuck the internet. There were so many workarounds for this it's ridiculous.

If a big black man sodomised you every time you visited the site, how about you lock your door instead of requesting that they stop showing pictures of watermelons all over the site? I mean I know you shouldn't have to but we're talking about a website where yeltsin has been given a position of power.

I have a better solution: stop visiting the site. that makes much more sense to me. of course, you're right about there being nothing "noble" about viewing ads; it is the responsibility of the site's owners to come up with revenue for themselves, and they cannot reasonably mandate how applications on an end-user's computer will behave, without a contract (and how that would work over international law, I have no idea). that said, if it ever came to that, I'd just stop using the site.
