Yeah, I completely get this. I'm not a big fan of that idea either even though I have two gmail accounts. And a younoob account. At least i'm not accessing every single website through them like some of my colleagues who cba remembering simple urls or using bookmarks :)

Twas more of a crack at "won't go down in a week or two" what with them having a couple hours downtime earlier this week and all ;)

haha no, I'm not really worried about downtime because none of my providers ever seemed to have problems with it :D but I don't want to look for yet another email provider in half a year because the old one died. :p

afraid I don't know much about the information thing, can you go a bit into detail?

googlevideo, google search engine, google email, ... quite easy to connect lots of information and create detailed profiles of people when it's all from one source. I just feel like keeping it a bit more private/anonymous if possible.

Just imagine google pulls something of like the AOL search disaster, just cross-referenced with your gmail account that you use to personalize the google search homepage. FUN
