:D
second 1.1 ive had, actually
first one was the one with side buttons, but after a while it wouldn't stop clicking
say i left clicked, it would left click 4-6 times, or not click at all
definitely not cool in LG fights -_-
I think both are great
But since I'm a lefty, I havent actually used the DA, but my brother does (who comes from IMO1.1a too). After trying the Logitech G3 with its bad tracking speed, I'm still on the Microsoft mouse. And I hate razers own shapes (Habu/DA shape is like the MS IME3.0, hence their cooperation).
really like the shape and sidebuttons of the IMO 1.1a
but the technology is better in the DA, 3G optical is great
i don't deny that the mouse tracks great, but compared to a 1.1 or 1.1a, i don't think it's really worth justifying the purchase, unless you play with an ultra-low sensitivity and need something that'll keep up with 40cm-60cm per 360
myself, im at about 8-10cm per 360 depending on how fast i move my mouse(use accel)
so i can't justify the purchase of a Salmosa or something similar, im completely happy with my 1.1
i've been using the same sensitivity/accel for about 3 years now
i tried the razer copperhead, both versions of the G5, and microsoft/razer habu
ALL OF THEM had problems skipping, like they couldn't keep up with my movements
i've tried different mousemats too, as i have a few laying around
func 1030, a few cloth ones including a QCK Heavy
i ended up just being happy with my 1.1 and the Heavy
You tried very low sens and it didnt skip? I just bought a g9 and its skipping badly on my qck heavy when im moving alot..
Are there any special dpi settings you using maybe?
Please try and tell me cause i would buy one asap if it doesnt skip :)
yes it doesnt like the qck. I bought a nuke-z cloth pad which is excellent and its very hard to make g9 skip, I'd say unless you try to do like the fastest possible 360 turn over the whole pad, but I could not make it skip doing an 180-200 deg turn. I use 35cm/360 and have absolutely no problems with skipping.
on the other hand you can try the roccat . I bought one just for the fuck of it and it's a good mouse. also it definitely likes the qck and has a better shape than g9.
the downside is it's lowest dpi is 800 which means you need drivers to get remotely the same feel as with 400dpi mouse and also to turn off the stupid lights. with g9 on the other hand you just plug it in and at 400 dpi feels exactly like IE3.0 only more precise.
Not only the tracking speed is better, also the image taken by sensor is better. With your 8-10cm sens, you would especially benefit from the higher resolution (dpi). So I'm actually saying the opposite; the higher your sens, the less ideal the intellieye is.
yeah, i really have to
if i leave it at stock polling, my screen feels choppy when i look around, even at 125fps solid
only happens in qw/q2/q3/ql/wsw
doesn't happen in hl2dm or anything else
Yep, I notice it A LOT specially when shafting. I GUESS all lans are allowing that overcloking app nowadays, if not, I don't get how the pros using it play with it.
for a long time, i just got used to it
then i just got fed up with having to deal with bullshit, even though it no longer effected the way i played
so unless they do allow usb oc apps, im guessing they just deal with it =/
"considering the shitty monitors"
i don't think it's allowed. i know it feels much better when overclocked but since the beginning of this year, i've been playing at stock 125 as i intended to participate in the ESWC qualifiers here. now, i've just gotten used to 125hz and tbh, i don't see any difference in accuracy.
yes i saw your other thread and overclocked my IE3 to 500hz. i can't decide between 500 and 250. anyway... do you know which tool was allowed? usbrate.exe or that other one linked in Sujoy's Mousescore thread?
there's no arguing the tracking capability, it's the (relatively) poor ergonomics, and horrible delay on button clicks that caused me to essentially ignore my D.A. for 11 of the 14 months I've owned it.
seriously?
i can find 1.1's/wmo's in walmart's around here for $10
i'm suprised nowhere near you in India stocks them, it's one of the most popular mice out there
not only with gamers, either.
which makes all the difference. the length of the mice are almost similar. where they differ is the height and weight. the IE definitely feels bulkier to me... by quite a bit. my hands aren't too big.
I've never had trouble swapping equipment apart from losing a solid 'feel' but stats have always remained the same even with a cheap shitty laser mouse I had to use.
the IE is bigger and heavier. not pointless at all. with the added weight, i find myself "throwing" the mouse around more on flicks and circle jumps and because of that, i can't control it as well as the WMO. i prefer the IE shape but i just wish it had the size and weight of the WMO.
so how did it react ?! was it a big drama scene or did it just accept the situation? did you prep it with some smooth talk before you broke the news? so many questions..
