the razer salmosa is probably by far the lightest "full"/desktop mouse you can get. not for under 20$ right now though,

Im a mx300 fan. Tryed the wmo but it feels clanky compared to the mx300, dont know how to explain it, didnt liked the feel. Dont know bout the Salmosa tho, heard lately it has some shity prediction onboard that can alter your aim.

mx300 has that prediction thing too afaik. Only mice I know that don't have it are the Microsoft mice (wmo/1.1/3.0 for example)

And the steel series mouse where you can turn it on/off. But that's big and heavy.

Do you happen to know how the mx300 compares to the mx310? The mx310 is a bit easier to find and I'm just curious if there are any major differences (size, shape, etc.).

The side buttons sucks (no side buttons on mx300) and the shape is different. Didnt liked it.

The 310 isn't in the mousescore 2007, but it doesn't perform nearly as good as the usb overclocked 300. IIRC it has the same sensor as the 510 which doesn't overclock too high and doesn't handle very fast movement as well.
Also, the 310 has a totally different shape ( http://images.google.com/images?q=mx310 )
