what about razer sens in the drivers? Thought about leaving it on default 10 , but it`s too fast even with 0.72 in-game sens. So maybe on 5 is a fine , but also not the same.

Isn't there an option to just not use that setting? there is in setpoint.

if I saw correctly in razer drivers I have win sens slider incorporated and the oder slider like some razer sens of its own. That win slider is on centre ( like 6/11) and that razer sens is confusing me....

in the advanced part just turn off the other sens/accel

after you have updated the firmware set the right dpi and hertz that you want to use. then go into msconfig and disable razerhid from starting up on boot.

i dont like the razer drivers becouse it feels like delay or acceleration when i use them. thats why i think you should turn them off after updating the firmware and choosing dpi and hertz.

I used to play q3 with 800 x 600 , and IE 3.0 400 dpi, but I wonder now since I have bought DA and could use 1800 dpi, what screen resolution should I set to.
Should I move to 1024x 768 or to keep 800 x 600 ?
I use 17" CRT monitor.

No reason to change it really use whatever resolution you get 120hz with.

Why did you even buy DA? Its more like a side grade from 3.0 rather than upgrade. Very similar shapes.

It works BEST at 450, but I know someone who has a sensitivity of 60cm/360 and uses 450 DPI.
The mouse still performs perfectly for him.

1) DA with the lastest firmwares works better with 450 > 900 > 1800 (Lowest dpi the better in terms of maxspeed)
Also if you play at a low resolution (typical playing Q3), with high dpi setting --> neg accel

2) The settings above are for you to feel a sense similar to the one you had with the im3.0
Im3.0 havent got (or have a minimal amount of) prediction.
With the 1.28NDC firmware u got the same feeling.

3) About 500Hz its the safe choice. Some people complain about some weird problems at 1000Hz (for example failing/unregistered mouse clicks).
At 1000Hz u need a more powerfull computer than at 500Hz to get it stable
I try it 1000Hz over 10 months and 500Hz the last 4 months and as conclusion I got a more smooth behaviour at 500Hz than 1000Hz... Anyway try it urself.

even with the most powerful computer, 1000hz is advised against. I have a retardedly overpowered computer for any of the games out right now, but I still got issues when I tried to use 1000hz.

Hmm, I tried to update the firmware and it failed. Luckily mouse is still alive. I did everything like it`s said in razerzone.com but it failed.

1.28 is only to disable (or lessen) the so-called mouse prediction.

put razerhid on above noraml priority. Works wonders.

Use sens 2 in windows or 3 something low.

on cpmpickup about 40 - 70 ping...... not so bad really. Just recently Im trying to get back in shape since I haven‚t played q3 for a couple of years and even then I used to play osp . So pretty much new in cpma....

simple, plug in your 3.0 and measure how far you have to pull it to reach 360 degrees.
Now do the same with the deathadder and adjust the sens.
Do this without accel ofc!

Kind of off topic; but I stopped using my DA after giving it a fair chance with the simple feeling that the sensor just wasn't on the same place under the mouse as my MS 1.1A's (too far "back" iirc) so it didn't respond the same to how I move my hand. Anyone have thoughts on that? Haven't like measured and compared side to side like that so I could be wrong but it's how it seemed to me.

Just curious though, perfectly happy with the 1.1A's I have and would buy new ones if these break. Unless some truly revolutionizing mouse is released that isn't just pretty numbers and real gamers agree that it is for a fact superior.

Any idea how to replicate sens 3.5 accel 0.58 on a deathadder at 1800dpi/500hz? in_mouse -1 fov 105 res 1680x1050 (yeah lcd looks crap at low res).
I've used formulas posted here by einsteins and its not the same. I find it probable its impossible to get it the same with accel across different dpis...sens 0.77 accel 0.05 comes closest.

Thanks a lot dude, I gave that a 0.03 value a try and it is defo the exact same. You've saved me a lot of fiddling around as after 4-5 not playing quake3 I said I'd rob a russians settings. I used russian style sens/accel for years as I like playing on a small area and its a non-fatiguing way to play.

To lethe: Its actually a very practical and easy to use sens/accel value. I'm pretty sure jibo is one of the better players around using in_mouse -1 m_filter 0 with accel on due to using 500hz or so. I don't think you'll find another pros cfg with m_filter off with accel enabled...I fail to see the point of using the higher hz with direct input enabled with its 12ms delay - I'm sure someone will disagree and explain that now that ive said it though :) Anyway give his settings a go and watch your lg acc go up (if you can play with accel ofc)
