Quake 3 has been dead for years and QL doesn't have any tournament features. The only game that you can possibly argue would fit the tournament would be SF4.

Bit odd to have Dungeons & Fighters there though, since the game hasn't even been translated to English yet but I suppose its mainly a novelty title.

I thought D&F was going to be released pretty soon in English (under a slightly different name). Anyway, it makes sense to them because they are obviously focusing in China.


This list is quite good compared to what they had only a month and a half ago. Even if you don't like them, FIFA 09 is the best football game ever and TMNF is a really good game and free.

VF5 being there, as much as I like it, instead of SF4, as much as I dislike it, is the only decision that doesn't make any sense.

the biggest gaming tourney on the planet is, in fact, the MLG. IF you are using "big" as some kind of measure of relevancy, than not only are you extremely shallow and probably partaking in the wrong "community", but you are also outclassed by your own criteria.

All of Asia is big on WC3, with SC being widely popular but more Korean based. Let's not forget that SC is the only game that has reached a level where it can even be called "professional." WC3 is also popular just about everywhere, but mostly in China. CS was an obvious choice, as well. Quake, however, is not only unpopular in Asia, but pretty much unpopular everywhere.

I'm actually gonna try to play in TNF this year. Been playing F-Zero when I'm bored for the past few months, and apparently, I'm the best player in Canada. TNF looked fun last year at ESWC, too.

This isn't saying WCG is the best, but the biggest and more established worldwide.
