sg and pg are 2powerful, besides that, the rest is good.

dunno if it changed, but it feels like movement (strafes) are slower than before so its easier to aim with it, and it feels overpowered. for me at least.

Yes they did change pg for quakelive. Damage was increased from 15 to 20, so max dmg is now 200dps instead of 150dps.. Though i am not sure if it was really 150dps in vq3

Anyway plasmagun feels fine as it is, it is usable in some situations, dunno though if it feels overpowered for people with 30 ping, for my 60 its fine.

it's been always 20. The only this that was changed about PG was a knockback - it became a little stronger. It hardly changes anything besides plasma climbing.

I think so too, and same goes to pg when it comes to tdm/duel. In ctf with doubler sg might be a tad too badass, it's like *blam* and any motherfucker who tries to touch the flag is dead.

zzzz. uve obviously not been killed as efc by a random sg shot from beyond lg range when u had 50 health. its probly the spread change that makes it so overpowered. pg is fine tho, bit easier to aim but bit less damage from q3.

The shaft is just stupid now, 5 Damages far , and 7 when we are close. It's better to make 7 everywhere or 8 than 5 when it's far, its like the MG, so I disagree

Taking a weapon out of the game because some people are good with it isn't the way to go.

Why not lower the overall range of the lg, so it stops at mid range. Sounds pretty simple and logical, dunno why id havent done this first. This way the shaft can still be powerful but not at such range, it forces ppl to be aggressive using it. The fire rate or damage could then be increased. Anyway, why are ppl picking on strenx? he's a good player, you should respect him :)

Totally agree with Garpy on LG and RG. Perfect balance now. LG whoring is not completely, but pretty mcuh eliminated. Thanx god.

I like LG as a next guy, but have you watched any CPM (vq3) matches in 2008? People would rather use LG at point blank ranges and the whole games became about ctrolling LG and running it on flat surfaces. Not saying that's when it started, LG whores always existed, but it was way too much abused.
Railgun is better at 80 in QL. I dont have issue with 100 RG in Q3, but QL netcode improves railgun accuracy by a half. Leaving it at 100 could be disasterous.

As a newcomer to quake (ive been told how OP it was in q3), i really feel the LG is a bit too powerful. If the dmg is considered fine, at least the range of it could be reconsidered imho?
