do you have any idea how mods work in quake? if so why are you doing this and what is the purpose of your mod?

if you need a certain command or are searching for an explanation on how q3 configs work in general google will indeed help a lot. if not esr has this feature where people can upload their configs to their profiles. take a look it's all there.

3) also... if you're working on a q3 mod this is the easiest way: c:\quake3\baseq3\q3config.cfg

2. Google is useful and total crap for searching configs and console commands. I already own Quakes, I want games I don't own. Sin, The Ship, Call of Duty series, any game you know that uses Quake's config.cfg or almost like it.

why would i need a keyboard menu to change camera angles in q3? it's a f.irst p.erson s.hooter and cg_thirdperson is even ruled out as a cheat iirc.

all you need in quake is movement/weapon/teamsay binds which is what most configs uploaded here or elsewhere already provide.

lol the new keyboard menu has hundreds of commands. Camera system is just icing on the cake.

How about a command to change my entire HUD based on a weapon or just in general? If anything the crosshair.

see fox cfg. he changes fov/zoom/sens/crosshair/etc. for every weapon.

quake has a long history of people editing their configs a lot. no need to create a so called "mod" for it. also hud changes are rather complicated if you play cpma as that would require a /reloadhud. if you don't know this by now: cpma is the mod almost all the leagues are played with.

After playing Age of Empires II and more importanly World of WarCraft, hotkeys easily make or break a player. One simple command can alter the entire game.

it's amazing how you put so much time and effort in something that's totally and utterly useless and call it a mod.

maybe take some time to learn real programming instead of messing around with configfiles.
