Nah meant it as a joke, i'm perfectly aware of what Hiddink is all about as i've been watchin him dominate the NL league with PSV and ofcourse going far in world cups with relatively weak countries. In holland they have this comic book called Guus Geluk translated (Lucky Guus) and as always, he gets everything he wants without puttin too much effort in it.. :)))
Chelsea aren't that strong these days, despite Hiddink getting them through games and Barca have shown a lot of energy, strength and ability to pressure the opposition high up the pitch and force mistakes.
But they haven't faced anything as strong, fast or with as much stamina as an English side yet. They got beat hard by Man United last year for the majority of the game but they are far stronger this year (And Chelsea are weaker).
So I'll cautisiously give a comfortable win to Barca (2 - 0).
Chelseas long ball game can bypass Barcas midfield and Drogba only needs one chance from a long ball. They've also got Essien, Lampard and Ballack who can all fire them in from distance and loads of players who can score from corners.
Barca should win this leg but I think if you had to put your house on it, you would have to give chelsea the edge over two legs. Hiddink is the best there is, and they have so many big game players, although I would love it if Barca won the title.
Then you saw MU defending for 160 minutes, just as Chelsea did today. MU does that too much. Nice offensive style against the small teams, but on the big games Ferguson acts like any italian coach.
I think Barcelona are in a far more promising position than Chelsea. Barca just cruise through games while Chelsea works like a machine breaking down their opponents. If Chelsea win it it will most likely be because of Hiddink, a master tactician that knows how to neutralize world class players.. But if he cant, then Barca for sure..
now LFC are out fuck all the other english teams, go Barca!
Messi is the finest footballer in the world, hope he has a gg. Baraca will need to win by 2 or 3 goals I think to make the final as Chelsea are so strong at home.
That was one ugly game :( Alot of fouling and whining/bitching crying on the ground... ahh well, i guess all that you can expect when Chelsea plays:D Tommorow's game will be much better I hope ;)
I'm not that hopeful about a good game tomorrow as I expect Arsenal will play quite defensive like they have against all the big teams bar Liverpool at home earlier in the season.
Adebayor is playing pathetically at the moment and contributing very little to the team, no Arshavin, no RVP, no Clichy, no Gallas and I can see Wenger playing Diaby on the left...
I think we can look forward to a nice and open game as it's all english teams, and, to be honest, i don't think Wenger is going change his philosophy all of a sudden and play defensively. All Arsenal is known for is attackig one touch passing football. Besides, they have still got Walcott, Eduardo that they can put up front. Although it is a pity Arshavin is cup-tied.
I wouldn't dare make a prediction on that one after seing what happened to Tottenham the other day, i can only 'cautiously' say that Man U is gonna take that game.
It won't be a change of philosophy but against Chelsea and Liverpool Arsenal were very cautious and defended first. and the same goes for the Man Utd/Chelsea games earlier in the season.
If he goes for Song/Denilson and Nasri/Fabregas/Walcott (4231) then it might be ok, but I can see him playing Diaby on the left.
Diaby is a complete waste of space and a complete liability :(
Yeah true.. although i think he's fit and eager enough to play and make a diffrence.. but wenger will know best. We'll see tommorow :) time to get some sleep!
Wellll... simply outclassed , especially first half they got run over. But it didn't seem that SAF was too happy after the match , shoulda been more than just one goal. Although if they take this game to the emirates they have really nothin to worry heh. great game by carrick , tevez and rooney . and i thought that adebayor was really weak.
