Today at 3pm EDT/21:00 CEST, two nations collide in Capture the Flag, Clan Arena, and Team Deathmatch Quake Live action. The format will be a best of three per game type. The game types will be played in the order of CTF, CA and TDM. This will be one of the first competitions for the new game featuring some of the best players in North America.
The match will be streamed with live video (also embedded below) and commentated by Marcus "djWHEAT" Graham and Rod "Slasher" Breslau.

i'm glad it was a close match, despite predictions calling everything blowouts.
USA should have had DM7, but they got really clumsy. They would take RA in their control, then go around roaming so Canada could take RA back moments later.
15s weapon respawns AND weapon dropping is r e t a r d e d, 30s and weapon dropping would be enough.. so yes, tdm is even more ffa now than it ever was

so the fact that i miscounted it to 15s instead of 12s, 12.5s or whatever it is, makes my point less valid huh? i haven't been bothered to play QL tdm because i thought it was just more of the same old.. but obviously they've dumbed down the concept even more for my liking..
i don't mind that there's people still enjoying it for their own reasons, but ~12s weapon respawn? what the fuck. i'd never give QL tdm a chance knowing that..
i mean tdm is dead because they replaced the weapons at maps...why u should stay on ra if enemy get lg + ya @ dm6 ? on another maps same shit...its ffa now
so what makes this FFA is having lg where pg used to be on dm6? not the fact that weapons spawn constantly thus removing all need and use for controlling weapon locations and doing timed attacks just as the weapon is about to respawn? dm6 used to be all about the railgun spawning every 30s, and about being there to fight for it or lose.. sitting idle at RA meant getting your face railed to pieces
I would have agreed if you two were having a normal discussion about ql tdm, but you seem more bent on discrediting his arguments in a hostile way instead of thinking on what he is trying to say. Hence my comment.

I'll give you Getzlaf and Eric Staal, both are beasts... Cam Ward is also having another playoffs of his life, either that or the other teams have just fallen off the face of the earth while playing him, they don't show Carolina games :)
Pronger is a douchebag cheapshot artist. Mike Green has been AWOL otherwise the Caps have the series locked up. MAF has been average. Correy Perry is an unknown for me playing on the west coast. He's looked ok in the few games I've watched, but nothing spectacular.
I'd still rather have Franzen, Lidstrom, Zetterberg, Bacstrom, Sedin, Sedin.
From new _awesome_ maps for QL only IronWorks works for CTF and 2 new maps works for CA. Other competetive maps are old bundled Q3 maps with some misplaced weapons.
GG map developers, we've waited a decade for these three...
