Nadal was the heavy favorite and no one would've guessed he'd be beaten this early, on his best tournament, against a player below the top 20. Therefore IT WAS SURPRISING.

Gonzales v Soderling will be such an epic match considering they have very similar styles.

That might make it sound boring to some people but I think you would see some awesome points between those two because eventually one of them would have to come to net to negate the others awesome forehand.

Del Potro is just wtf at the moment. I can appreciate his style because he has been so successful, but god damn he is boring to watch. Very much just a stand and deliver player. Federer aswell seems to be playing a very held back game. Waiting for his opponent to open up the court for his passing shots or just dominating them at the net if they force him up close.

I can't see Del Potro beating Fed, he will find a way to take him apart, I would expect Federer to just make him come up close to the net then out smarting him. At the moment I'm thinking Federer v Soderling for the final.

I haven't looked at the bracket so I don't know who federer may get in the future, but he has been struggling badly in every round. He needs to raise his mental game a lot if he wants to win this.

And about Nadal recovering very fast. It's the same in every type of competition when there is a nearly unbeatable player/team. Once someone breaks their aura (like soderling did) it's twice as hard to get it back. The opponents have smelled blood and now everyone will come with the attitude "if he can do it, so can I". It's the same thing which happened with federer a year ago, when he lost his "invincibility"

if he goes through monfils tomorrow then most likely del potro..ive seen only his match against haas and despite missing a lot of shots especially in 2nd set, he got himself together later on so if he can maintain that level from last 3 sets he could be able to pull it off
