Im still extremly skeptical of "real 120hz" on this fucker. In any case i'll wait a couple of days and hope someone here gets it and makes a proper review. Nowadays I only trust people that plays Quake at a decent level if I wanted to buy a mouse/monitor/etc.
dual link DVI gives enough bandwidth
this monitor is really uses a 120hz signal, but I dont know if its in whole frames or some sort of interlacing effect (guess so, for the "3d mode" with shutter glasses).
I have no idea where that started, but I've seen it many, many times. No, DVI is not limited to 60hz. The overall bandwidth is actually slightly higher than VGA is. The reason that so many people assume that DVI is limited to 60hz is because it's a digital interface, and most digital displays up to now have been capped at 60/75hz.
Well that sucks. Because a digital display looks like shit coming off of an analog cable (vga), so I guess they're simply two completely, COMPLETELY different things, that just happen to share the name "Monitor" or "Display".
but this monitor is promising, it says 5ms on the box, but it isnt really 5ms ofcourse. As u can see here: http://www.digitalversus.com/duels.php?ty=6&a...8&ph=1
The input delay is identical to the T220, which is fantastic right?
For the guys that think its a fake 120hz, its not. 1 dvi = 60hz yes, but these monitors use dual-link DVI technology, which means 2 times 60zh. See it as a dual core of the monitors.
So you can play 1680*1050 @ 120Hz, which is fantastic right?
I only see 1 reason not to buy this samsung, it has only 1 input. For people that use their xbox and pc, its not so smart.
