The developers of all the even series of COD is Infinity Ward (like COD4, COD6) while the developers of all the odd series i.e. COD3, COD5 is TreyArch. Nothing got skipped :)
no, we won't discuss call of duty, idiot
are u going for much more motives to get very fast to the number of replies you need in order to feel you are an advanced esr member?
CoD2 was very good competitively with S&D mode, but clipping and problems with smoke rendering etc. could be a nuisance. Also, the headshot system is too lucky sometimes. Some people don't like jump shooting, so prefer the original game, but as far as I'm concerned it's a respectable game play element.
As for CoD4, I never really dug it. Auto-aiming melee, weapons that don't have enough variety, pace that doesn't match the damage levels. That's discounting perks which are usually limited in competition. And public play is usually so easy it's a joke. Not surprising given the default game play mechanics... it means beginners can bag a kill here than there and feel like they're contributing, but if you go into a TDM with an AK-47, or depending on map, AK-47u / MP5 with bandolier and juggernaut, you can rip through players, then once you're out of ammo, the auto-aiming knife can usually pick up a few kills. It just gets old very quickly if you ask me. As for public S&D, depending on map you can use the perk that gives you two main weapons, kitting out with a sniper and a SMG, which can prove effective.
MW2 will only build on these issues, because they want to make is easy enough to pick up and play that everyone will buy it. I'll almost most certainly buy it, but I'm not hoping for it to be a killer competitively, considering CoD4 was not bad at first, but just didn't last if you ask me.
let me ask you one thing, and by this I hope I will give you all answers, already
are you fast and furious?
of course you won't get my question right away
So what if I created a COD thread? Don't get your pants in a twist grandpa..I'm a regular COD4 player on Fragnetics. The forums here looked dead so just popped in with the most anticipated title of the year!
we play quake, not nub nub "realistic" games like cod :). we like to aim where we shoot. perhaps if you posted on an xbox live forum you would get more response
Am I really one of only a few who thought that CoD4: MW was really good? Great gameplay, maybe not as fit for competetive use as CoD1/CoD2, but still lots of fun.
I only played CoD4 on single player, but it was tons of fun. Good story, great graphics, fun levels. Very well done.
I've heard the MP is good, but I have no desire to try it out. hehe
That only takes into account retail distribution in the USA.
Even though I'm sure PC gamers are more likely to order from Amazon than console gamers, if you add Steam sales and consider markets more PC oriented like Europe I'm sure the percentage will raise a lot.
Activision and Infinity Ward kicked the community right where it hurts the most. No user owned dedicated servers. I didn't get the game and would rather donate the money to DICE for Battlefield Bad Company 2
I honestly never laughed once while watching it because he's not joking, it's one of the worst things I've ever seen on the internet and genuinely depresses me.
I have no real interest in the multiplayer but I can say that the singleplayer is horrendously bad, mainly due to having the same garbage AI that CoD4 did.
My favorite moment so far is when all the AI dudes "cleared" a room and I walked in to a Russian soldier getting food out of the refrigerator while ~6 dumbass AIs were pointing their guns in random directions doing nothing. Basically you should never do what the AI instructs, since "move up" translates to "go die in the front" and "hold this position" means "stay here and die".
