We deserved it. I said not so long ago we weren't playing good and it was a matter of finding a team capable of making a goal. I didn't expect it to be USA, but I knew it was coming.

Saw the second half.

Spain were incredibly wasteful and impatient, with the players often being a bit selfish and trying to go it alone.

People treat USA as if they are Andorra or San Marino for some reason when they are far better than that (I guess it's obvious why!).

I think you're overrating them a bit :P, they might be in the finals now, in the confederation cup with 8 teams, but there is no way they'll make it past final 16, made it to 16 in 2006, did alright but nothing outstanding, and there is no one going to tell me that USA is now a TOP10team, Spain hasn't lost a game since 2006, 37 wins in a row ? they played good this game and well deserved.

I don't believe that, but people do treat them as if they are San Marino or Andorra whereas they are a capable and organised team.

TBH, I usually rate them much higher than those, but this cup they were playing awfully, at the level of Andorra... until they woke up against Egypt.

USA didn't get past the group stage in 2006.

In the end USA raped Egypt even harder and Italy didn't go through because they lost against Egypt and didn't score enough goals. (The had the same goal difference as USA)

everytime italy loses at soccer, i smile. as much as they dive on the field, one would think they'd be awesome at swimming.
