so cyhper travelled to russia flaming hisself as anonymous on esr and travelled back, but making the mistake giving away his identity by using his typical smiley. now i understand.
deserved win for chypher
jibo should have taken his chances when he had a clear armor advantage instead of waiting for a better chance and then ending up with even worse chances when the clock forced him
when cypher plays like this noone has a chance. its easy to whine about jibo mysteriously losing his form in a couple of days, but its pretty much obvious that the old cypher is back.
yes indeed, very strange things, like jibo completely missing the mh time on nodm9, that rarely happens. Cypher was way better than his previous games, anyone can tell that, so I say he's back!
cypher played pretty shitty but that's all you need when the guy you're playing is running straight into you and has no patience
jibo is notorious for being good then going to complete shit, this is nothing new. he even does it in game, he has moments where he's playing absolute awesome quake and then start doing stupid shit that makes little sense for no reason
Jesus, Jibo drunk or something during this match. He gets out-shafted when he's got more armor/health than cypher and the jump on him. Looked like Jibo couldn't hit anything.
judging from jibo's two previous games i think his game is off. even though he won both, the scores were closer than they should've been and jibo seemed kind of confused or had some kind of problems couple of times during the games. he didn't play his A game in those matches and i think he played worse in this.
and as for cypher i think he improved his game a lot. he was clearly more collected and smarter than before. didn't rush into fights as much as before.
it would've been interesting to see if cypher would've cracked under the pressure if jibo had the skill he showed during asus cup. it's easy to play smart and not rush when you are leading. maybe cypher would've lost if he got desperate and made bad judgements.
(personally i think jibo is like neo from the matrix who started to believe in himself after beating cypher. his style was always more cautious, but now he puts emphasis on agressiveness)
just a... not an advice, but like, a note: be prepared for the idiots that will make those "funny jokes" when you play bad or lose in the future, like "did he crash again?", "here comes the crash excuse" or anything like that.
Jibo has not a good day, look his rail aiming on ztn, is completely off. This makes anyone loose self-confidence when you play, seeing cypher on fire with rail and you didn't hit nothing.
Dm9 was played perfect by both players, see they timming mh, ra, and both ya, impressive demo!
i don't know if your post concerns me or why i it would even matter to me what you think about me but to be clear (in my opinion):
cypher 100% > jibo 100%
in this match it was more like
cypher 85% > jibo 60%
all i'm saying it would've been interesting to see both players performing up to their level and i tried to analyze their change in recent performances.
Fuck this. Fuck it. Really. Cypher played well but Cypher was OBVIOUSLY warping to Jibo (Cypher outshafting Jibo? yeah right. Jibo hitting <20% rail on ztn? come the fuck on). Cypher looked like he didn't know too well where he had to go on nodm9 - but good avoidance of jibo when it mattered, Jibo never got a frag even though he knocked Cypher from 300 hp to 50 hp like 10 times.
Cypher did seem more focused and prepared than in his other recent games... But both games were quite close for the most part and he was obviously warping.
I don't think cypher gets as much credit for his lg aim as he should. Partly cause he spams it so much at corpses his percentage doesn't look so impressive at the end of games. His lg aim, when in form, is up there close to the best shafters imo.
Don't know whether it was my pc/config or the demo, but that was jerky as hell to watch. Hard to see, but I wasn't overly impressed except for his exceptional +back skills. Hitting high 30s lg doesn't seem that impressive when you are only having fights where your opponent is having to rush your defensive positions. Not that percentages are everything, but the demo was so hard to watch that's about all I could judge it on.
and he wasn't hitting lg only when czm was "rushing defensive positions". He outaimed czm BADLY in some lg fights, and once he tracked czm almost flawlessly even while beeing knocked by a rocket...
Well, not going to "excuse" this loss. Dont think Jibo needs it, he already proved his skill against Cypher, and did it at the "little bit" more important event.
But, right now, quake its not on the top of his priorities. I mean usually quake has a little higher priority, but right now its somewhere in the bottom of the priorities list, he just plays tourney games even if hes not ready, cuz it seems he will not have time to get ready anyway.
And yes, this game aint the first that he plays like this. It wasnt very visible cuz of momentum he had from previous tourneys. And now momentum is over - he needs to charge himself again =)
Cypher has improved his game, i think its because 3rd loss in a row to a Jibo was something really terrifying for him =) So he prepared well =) Not his best for sure, but pretty good =)
dm9 izzomg! +!!!! cypher's calm sg dodge/shot at 6:32 was gg imho...and jibo's 8:52 blind rock in cypher's face was all 1080p 3D! I had to sit back from the screen! Just an amazing match..and like in Batman Begins: Cypher did "mind his surroundings" and knew when to +back and equally important, where to +back.
imho ++ best sequence ++ Jibo's preternatural dodging after score went 1-4 with little health, a few rocks and like always, grenades to GO! Somehow and FROM BELOW he manages to frag a stacked Cypher with a Jibo's proprietary blend of weaps&shots...Miraculous losing pov!
