dro4, (Zadrot, drocher) - formed from "drochit" (Masturbate.) Every progamer, or high skilled player can be named like that (Some abusive), like a man which all time doing only one job. =))
- ps, that word said loosing gamer on pndm9. Some specs on gtv asked for translate that.
You should create wikipedia article about common expressions of russian-speaking players translated to english with examples and nice pictures related. *irony*
yeah i thought the same :) although it is quite unfair to compare the two right now... if we'd have a pk-style world tour or even something like cgs for quake the games would look a lot different after some time.
The best examples are from the ztn game. If you watch that, you'll notice 2 things. 1) Killmas got back into the game because cypher was too lazy to pick up a rg, so it was available to be picked up and resulted in kilmas converting a frag with 4hp, and then goes on to take full control of the map. 2) Killmas lost the game because he didn't have timing on th emega, giving it back to cypher, basically ending the game.
There were other times where cypher wouldn't pick up ammo/guns/whatever and it ended up putting him in bad positions. This kinda shit wouldn't happen in SC, where details like that are actually looked at and studied, and taken into account during games.
It does because it was not rebut by Guard. Of course, Quake 3 and Starcraft are not comparable as games, but what hoens addressed is not about games, it's about the attitude that competitors have towards their game.

Comparing a maraton runner vs a football player is pointless.
so is comparing fps to rts games (or whatever it's called).
the tactics is not comparable.
if you compare unreal tournament to quake 3, now that's another story, or actually the story we're looking for.
fps is about priority os different items and positioning. you dont have a troop you can deploy wherever you want, or hold a position. you can only be at in one place at a given time. ok?
btw, how does xerp function in SC? any good?
I want to build a hydralisk den near the RA, but it's not in the cards now is it ?
edit: btw, cypher is arrogant, don't blame every pro quake3 player just because he wants to impress the crowd.
I already wrote that the issue discussed is not about games, it's about players' attitudes, and attitude is something that every single gamer has, regardless of what he plays.
You can compare dedication of football players and runners.
I would have to disagree with you slightly here. I think it really comes down to 1 thing, and 1 thing only. It should be fairly obvious what that one thing is, it's what makes the world go round after all.
P.S. in case you haven't guessed it's money. Money -> higher skill -> need for coaching -> coaching. No money -> no need to get appreciably better -> no need for coaching -> no coaching -> the sloppy play witnessed in this game.
Always enjoyed watching Stelam demos because he was so methodical in his play. One of the few players who would try control weapons as well as items. Two old demos that come to mind are vs python on dm6 and vs blokey on pt4 from an wcg (2001?). On dm6 he controls ra, mh, rl and rg most the game. On pt4 he does an awesome job of denying rg most the game.
vs vikings on dm14 at the eurocup he's always prepared to defend the area he is in from multiple opponents by holding the rocket launcher out unless it's obvious he can pull out the RG/LG.
This is a game between cypher and killmaster that I was watching when something really strange caught my attention.
Now I know this cypher that we're talking about but in the specific time that I linked to he has the weirdest LG lock I've seen. It happens as he drops from RA down to the rail area to lg killmaster.
