FIREFOX USERS: For FF heartbeat kicks, a firewall of some sort (either Windows or third-party) is blocking PnkBstrB packets from getting back to the client.

1. This can be fixed by excepting PnkBstrA/B.exe in the firewall configuration. In some cases, excepting PnkBstrB.exe and PnkBstrA.exe does not fix the problem, but shutting off the firewall does. Please verify that your Windows or third-party firewalls are properly configured or disabled.
2. Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run Dialogue
3. Type 'taskmgr' in the text box, and click OK
4. On the Processes tab, right click on the 'firefox.exe' process, Set Priority-> Low

VISTA 64 USERS: Vista users may additionally want to attempt the following steps.

1. Navigate to C:/Windows/SysWOW64
2. Right click on PnkBstrA.exe and select 'Properties'
3. Under compatibility, select 'Run as Administrator'
4. Repeat for PnkBstrB.exe

Users may resolve some issues by disabling their User Access Control, to disable UAC:

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account".
3. Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account.
4. Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
5. Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings" link.
6. In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer". Click on the Ok button.
7. You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Do so when ready.

Lastly ensure that if your Windows Firewall is enabled, that exceptions are made for PnkBstrA.exe and PnkBstrB.exe.

So try re-installing pb ?

Ok just tried that, Had issues with pnkbstB.exe, wouldnt let me delete it (if i tried uninstall it wud say it cudnt remove B) so i rebooted in safe mode, deleted it myself and uninstalled pb, then rebooted and installed..
