The Electronic Sports League just announced that the fourth Season of their Intel Extreme Masters will launch on the Gamescom in Cologne, 19th to 23rd August. The prize money purse for the fourth edition will be
$500,000 and the Season will feature the following games: World of Warcraft, Counter-Strike 1.6 and
Quake Live.
More Details about the Season will be released on Gamescom. The Gamescom is the first Global Challenge of at least six events during the course of the season. The kick-off event will feature three parts:
A $10,000 World of Warcraft 3on3 Tournament for eight Teams. The first six teams are already confirmed and are:

Sansibar

NOP
A $10,000 Cup for Counter-Strike 1.6 with four invited teams. The teams are:

fnatic.MSI (IEM World Champion)

mTw int. (IEM European Champion)

mousesports (German Champion)

SK Gaming (No.1 on the IEM Ranking)
There also will be a $1.000 Pro/Am Challenge for visitors of the Gamescom and ESL Intel Arena booth. Visitors can sign up for a public duel tournament and play for $1.000 prize money.
