ye I was checkin out the stats of your games against them last night. They have only been playing mix teams mostly, but still, mix teams made up of very good players. At the start they were losing a lot of games but now they rarely do.
I hope they continue to improve over the next week because FoJ will be no pushover.
Have they played any decent clan yet tho? brkn? LLL? DP?
FoJ isnt that good of a team but the US scene lacks teamplay, most top teams rely on aim-based play. EG / eMg are pretty close to them in terms of skill, however they dont seem to hold under pressure.
slightly off topic, since ctfers probably read this thread: Lol @ QZCTF9 being part of the quakecon map pool. The reason people stopped playing Q3WCTF1 years ago was the fact that it was ridicilously easy for defensive teams to camp the huge flag room, taking your time with a weapon of choice RG, LG, PG, GL, RL... I once played a 75 minute game on it at lan. Or does the new left-side entrance do enough to tackle that? My initial thought is that it doesn't help that much, and even if you get the flag you have an even longer escape route before reaching the spammable middle.. Anyway if I were to modify that map I'd have done way more to fix the biggest flaw of it.
I could be completely wrong. I've only played it a few times in public servers and never 4on4. Does it have any experience in tournament/clan play yet?
