Going to be fun to see the small fight with the randomness of first 4 signing up on Friday morning!

Also qztourney9 for sure is better than 3 of those maps. My personal opinion is that it's better than all of them, but at least I am trying to be objective :)

To make things more clear from my opinion. T7/T9 should be in since they are new and more than playable by most that play duel and have been proven in most online tournaments already. However T6 should be left out, there seems to be very few that really want that map to be in a duel tournament. Then comes CA2 that is untested, but my general feeling is that it's not suppose to be in a duel map pool in it's current state, however I would leave it as a 'maybe' until quakecon is over.

Then you have the classics dm6, ztn, t4 and dm13. Of those my personal opinion is that 3 of the work quite well for QL, but should be replaced as soon as something playable is released, such as T7/T9 quality or even better arrives. Dm13 should already be left out or modified for the movement and weapons of QL. Currently it's way to narrow and easy to run backwards with RL and you cant touch your opponent.

Summary:

Include: tourney7, tourney9, dm6, ztn, t4, Ca2(only until my guess of its failing at quakecon has been proven, if not then keep it) should be in a duel map pool.

Don't include: Tourney6, dm13

I'm not sure if this is only me thinking like this. But if I had time, money and motivation to run a duel cup, these are the maps I would think about :)

all we await is hub and then we can watch all the community slowly quit once again. QL is turning out to be abig let down with the same maps that started q3 still being used today... DM6??? my god that map is so poor, dm13 it's not even built to the right scale... t4, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz, ztn... here we go again. Basically quakelive is dying just at it starts, becuase yet again the same players from q3 are dominating quakelive.

Probablly whole Poland and the rest of eastern europe disagrees with you by leaving dm13 out...but yes map was better as nodm9

t9 teleporters needs some solution, when your leading you cant loose and nerve the teleporters tbh, if thats fixxed its a pretty good map :)

What about dm6? Isn't that map pretty bad for competitive play? It seems like it's almost impossible to come back from a bad start if you face a player that is really skilled on that map. At least with 10 min games.

True. If the time limit was 15 - ya, maybe. But with this nerfed weapons and 10 min tl... it's so hard, that it's almost impossible :/.
