After the announcement of an IEM QuakeLive Pro/Am Challenge tournament at Gamescon this summer, we were left without much details. A few days ago Rondrian has posted a German news with all the details which has now been translated.
Most of the tournament will be played on Friday 21st of August. Then on Saturday its Final will be played on stage and streamed on ESL-TV. Only the winner will be rewarded with $1,000, but 8 players will get the chance to play in this tournament.
Two online qualification cups will be held and each will grant the top2 players a slot for the IEM QuakeLive Pro/Am Challenge (sign-ups are already open). The other 4 slots will be open to sign-up at Gamescon starting on Friday at the ESL Intel Gamezone booth.
